Need help cubing to find a new Santa Cruz cut

So I need some help with a project, if anyone is ready to get started soon and has the time and space to help with it, it will be worthwhile for all involved and the OG community as well.

I’ve recently lost an irreplaceable, very legit legacy Santa Cruz cut. I can’t get another one, but I do have strains where it was used as a mom and a lot of regular seed. A friend said cubing would be a possibility, so I’m looking for people that can run some seed with me, hunt through it and find that Santa Cruz cut or as close to it as possible as an expression.

You get to keep any extra seed, a Santa Cruz mom, and I will freely distribute cuts among the community here at overgrow going forward once we have it.

So, if anyone’s down to get crazy with me on this adventure, just let me know and we’ll figure out how to get started!

Hello

You talk about Blue dream santa cruz cut ? Haze santa cruz cut ? Or other cut ?

Oops…Sorry! It’s a blue dream Santa Cruz cut, definitely Haze dominant though. Amazing cut, definitely the real deal

I might be able to help with a cut in the near future. I got a Blue Dream Santa Cruz cut from a member on here who is highly trusted (i have also known him for over 20 years). No way I can guarantee, but it’s what i was told and no money exchanged hands. It’s currently around 50 days into flower but I took some cuts and at least two are doing well. one has already been up-potted and could give clones now if they were very small, I prefer to wait until its bigger. I can post more photos later including the clones but here is what I have on my phone right before the last round of Johnny’s spray (aphids).

The original SC Blue Dream cut is still available from reputable sources, and I wouldn’t describe it as haze forward.

I’d def describe it having some degree of Original Haze dominance in it, between terps and structure. What I had was lanky, stretchy, thin leaves, sativa like stacking of decently dense buds with strong hints of haze and berry and one hell of a nice high.

Do you think you’d ever get any pollen off it??

Cubing is just another word for making 3 backcrosses(bx3) to the same cut. You’d need a cut or plant to do the cubing on. Preferably can find the cut you lost again

I hadn’t thought about it but I do have STS spray. I have only tried it on one auto plant in the past so I wouldn’t say I have a lot of experience. I would be willing to try with one of these clones or a future clone.

For what it is worth, the one on Roots website looks almost identical to the cut I been growing. Seems like you should have no trouble finding a cut to buy. However, I am not planning on getting rid of it. I sought it out to help a friend who needs it medically. He claims it is the perfect strain for his ailments. I have acquired him a free tent/light/blower setup and have plants ready for him to start his own first grow. In that process I cloned a few for myself as I find I enjoy the smoke quite a bit. I have never shipped cuts or clones but I would consider trying if you have no other options. Warning, in the last year I have had about every type of pest you can, so maybe look elsewhere  but I am getting really good at cleaning cuts and my IPM is getting better.
