SolStrips and PotSquatch have teamed up to market SolSheetz to his army of followers in Canada and the US. We’ve co-branded the 'Sheetz line with PotSquatch Growers to offer his group their own line of lights based on the SolSheetz X, DBLX and O models, but yes they are essentially the same lights.
The SolSheetz with the new Samsung 301H boards (X4-3500H) are flying out the door.
It’s entirely dependent on your ventilation, ambient air temps, diode quality and lamp design but no way should a premium LED light be raising grow space temps 35F. Maybe 10F if your ventilation is poor and you keep an inefficient driver in the grow space (i.e. mounted on the lamp).
All of our SolSheetz and SolStix Rax have remote-cabled drivers, which keep 33-50% of the waste heat out of the grow space to begin with. Most growers switching from HID lighting are shocked at how much less grow space heat they have to deal with with LED.
I’m looking to add/upgrade my LED lights and expand my grow area. I was leaning towards HLG or Solstix. I visited both websites, and found HLG is now selling QB648 bds.& Photon Solutions has the new Dbl. X-4 sheetz. Does anyone have any experience with either of these? The prices are similar. I don’t want to decide with a coin toss.
I bought a light from a seller on ebay out of north carolina. He makes hlg quantum board style lights. The light i bought has top bin lm301h diodes and cree 660nm red diodes just like the hlg 550rspec. Meanwell hlg 480 driver as well. Came assembled including a potentiometer already wired up for dimming. Less then 600 shipped to my door. PM me if you want his ebay seller account. He stands behind his warranty as well.
