NEW Ac infinity controller 67

The price and quality of all their gear is pretty darn impressive. I’m gonna buy my next tent from them. I’m verrry interested in what lands on their LED Lights page. Doug at Shoregro Hydro in Ocean NJ introduced me to this company and color me interested.

Oh yeah their tents are supposed to be really good. They also sell some pretty nice looking smart pots really cheap.

I found these fans weak , so weak that I never got to use the bells and whistle it came with , needed to be ran wide open even then I had a hard time telling if air was circulating. I was running two filters , intake and exhaust. Complete odor control was a must for me . After 5 months the fan locked up . I used the same filters for the next run with my 4 inch old style fan , had zero issues, well its loud and annoying and had to replace the bearing but it circulated air through both filters . Probably would work fine with one large filter but for the guys running good quality tight filters on exhaust and intake I would seriously think twice about it and definitely dont bother paying for the extra bells and whistle because it will be on full blast 24/7 . Just a heads up .

6 inch infinity was what I had , it gave no indication that it was going to lock up, almost like it welded itself together , I tried to repair not a chance with the way it was assembled, as with the regular style they always get loud letting me know the $12 bearings need to be replaced before catastrophic damage happens .

I think that’s a good point and worth bringing up. I run these with no filter. They struggle with a filter and the benefit, which is low noise, goes out the window.

Also, the bigger they get, the louder they get. 4" is quiet, 6" acceptable, 8" I’m actually not happy with and wouldn’t buy it again, but then again idk what I’d buy instead.

I have 2 ac infinity fans that I’ve been using for years with ZERO issues with multiple carbon filters.
Where I live its 92 degrees today with very high humidity and my fan is only running at speed 6 to keep my room at my set temp with 500 watt led and carbon filter.

Like most growers here im very happy with both of mine and will only be using ac infinity if I need a replacement.

Mine doesn’t have any issue at all.

Honestly I’m not sure why somebody would run carbon filters on an intake. Cant say I understand that all but maybe thats his problem. If your sucking fresh air in though the intake and exhaust though the filter how would an intake filter work? Thats crazy

No issues with mine. AC running, speed control on 2 just to exchange air as required. 6x 60w Autocob’s in a 4x4.

Keep in mind everything is prone to failure in some degree. This may be the second poster I remember having an issue… and I researched before buying.

Sounds like you killed your own fan by starving it of air.

@GCBudz i did the same when I bought mine. Honestly it seems like the own the market at this point.

@MrG quote “definitely dont bother paying for the extra bells and whistle because it will be on full blast 24/7 . Just a heads up .”

Mine almost never runs past speed 6.

They have excellent customer service so I would have called them with that issue. Im sure they would make it right.

I have a 4" and 6" , both are super quiet and never hit full speed. Just my experience but they are my go to now and my 2 cheaper and louder ones are in boxes.

Edit: I also have a carbon filter on it but only 1. Air is pulled in through bottom vents of tents and with negative pressure does not need to be filtered.

I have bought 5. 2 4" , 2 6" , 1 8". I’m not dissatisfied but if you have ever used the cheaper, loud as hell turbo charger looking fans, you’ll know the AC fans are anemic when pulling or pushing through a filter.

Having said that, an intake and exhaust filter is a lot to ask for any fan to deal with. I’d recommend a booster on the intake side for sure in that case.

You can use a carbon filter but they don’t work as well. I am lucky to not have to worry about it.

I do use a filter…zero issues and never runs full speed. Might be an issue with your setup.

You have a relatively large space that looks not closed off? edit, also rigid walled. in a tent, with a filter, you end up with tremendous negative pressure because the fan is sucking but can’t push it out, creating a vacuum effect.

I remember when I bought my first AC infinity fan. Their own marketing materials recommended against a filter unless I’m mistaken… It’s an inline fan and doesn’t generate the CFMs of the blower types to overcome pressure.

My advice: If you want to use a filter, go up in size.

My 4" works absolutely fine with a filter…
