Northern Lights Auto "Stay at Home" Grow

I’ve read that you can bodge a freeze drier together with a vacuum chamber, dry ice, ethanol and a cooler. Have you thought about something like that? Vacuum chambers and pumps are way cheaper than a freeze drier.

I actually have a vacuum chamber and a pump. I have thought about it, but honestly i want to set it and forget it. For now I’m perfectly happy microplaning my hash to dry.

Yeah, fair enough. I kind of like the small ritual of setting up and tearing down DIY options like that.

Never know, I may try it on a small batch one day. :yum:

Definitely post your results, I know myself and others are always looking to improve our own DIY processes!

Ah yeah I could see that. I only dry herb vape with a dynavap these days so having the Grade A buds is nice  I do keep at least a portion of the Grade B one’s too. Everything else, including the vaped herb, goes to edibles or hash/rosin. If I was still rolling up all the time I’d probably do the same as you for sure. So many options! Freeze dryer sounds fantastic but thats not gonna happen for me either unless someone decides to recycle one

The NL !Auto came down last night. A little fluffy, but quite a bit of bud hiding under all that leaf. I’m guessing another 2-3 ounces off of this plant.

Was that the auto that had to be forced to flower on 12/12? My NL auto done the same (ended up being forced to 12/12) is still going strong. I started growing my NL on April 25th.
Possibly 5 ounces so far over 5ft tall but still another 4 weeks since mine revegged for 2 weeks half way through flowering.

Hope your b**ch was worth the hassle for you in the end.

But that rosin dripping down made me dribble a little, id love to taste that.

This was a great read.I have 2 of the fem auto N.L that @gpaw gave me from his RSQ seeds from the vault.I have been growing mine for 77 days now since soaking seeds…I have been growing mine on 18/6 since the start. They both started auto flowering around day 25.They are growing on a rack in my livingroom. They are producing great so far.Figure they have another 3 weeks to go as the buds are still growing and swelling.
Both have intense aromas to.

Out of 2 that I planted on December 10th/21, only one germinated. This one is looking really good. That being said I think I am going to steer clear of Canuk Seeds for now. The other 2 seeds I planter were Quarter Pounders also from Canuk and they didn’t survive germination.

Canuk Seeds is the in-house brand of True North Seed Bank.
I haven’t had any issues with what I’ve purchased but…

They buy their stock from Spanish companies… (like OEM)
They have jacked up the pricing way too high for me now.

Cheers
