Today is 12/21/2020

Happy winter and we are now moving towards spring :slight_smile:

so it is now time to get ready to work outside this 2021 season

here in snow covered New York State

I have about 42 - 43 inches of snow on the ground that we got

hit with last Wednesday night so putting stuff outside is not in the cards yet :wink:

but before you know it

so I need to figure out what I am growing outside this year

see how I said “am growing” not “wanting to grow”

if we go with wanting…I would need more land

so here is what I do have going for outside right now

4 - Island Sweet Skunk from old Federation stock

7 - Monster Cookies x UBC Chemo not sure who’s work but

the seedlings are tanks while I have been killing beans these

grew

8 - Blueberry Blast which are f2s or 3s of Snow High Seeds work

The UBC may not go out or will not be finished outside I will be

keeping all the plants of these to make myself some beans and keep some

regular pollen from each to use someday

I want to pick thru three different mixes I have to find myself a keeper to

grow until the day I die

not sure what I looking for but I will know when I see it :wink:

I made a cross and grew it for years and years loved it but lost it

when the neighbor from hell moved in

it was a Skunk # 1 male from Sam and a BC Big Bud female from

Federation beans

smoked it by the ton day after day and stone me to the bone it is sorely missed :frowning:

I have three different mixes to work with outside in 2021 looking for that personal

keeper and make some mixed beans for the freezer

The Mixes are

Sweet Tooth #4 and pre-98 Bubba. Herijuana and Moroccan Blondie. Durban Poison, Mangobiche, and ‘88 Ghashplant, to start. All Organically produced in the standard Coots-style Living Soil, adapted to the old-growth forests of Massachusetts.

Every box comes with a free pack of Azad Kashmir IBLs.
Heavy diesel fumes and two-stroke engine aromas throughout flower, drifting into chocolate oranges and pink lemonade in the cure.
Late flower brings out Gold and Copper hues, with the most beautiful Red Wine Purples.

I did go out and buy 10 more of the offering as I was going to buy beans

so supporting one of our own makes so much sense in these times

I have been starting and killing beans for awhile now :frowning: but I believe I

have got it dialed back in :slight_smile:

I have only dropped a couple of things I am working with outside

I have Island Sweet Skunk started for outside

and Blueberry Blast for outside

only four of each but they will be redwoods

nice thing about outside lots of room but I had way too many plants this

fall so it was hard to move them some back inside to keep I need to build a greenhouse

I have a great plan and I will find the PDF and link it here

if my Uncle Andy would get his fuckin head out of his ass and let us

grow a few plants it would be easier

I’m obsessed with those 20ft tall plants I see closer to the equator. I’ve seen pictures of plants that are the size of dump trucks. I always wonder what the yield would be from something like that? Is the flower better or worse? I think it would be so much fun to grow a plant that large. Even Oleander bushes that large are cool to see.

Update 01/02/2021

what a great outside season :slight_smile: I have not had this much fun growing

in 20 - 25 years

Only 120 days until we will be back outside and I for one cannot wait to be outside

inside growing is good and if I could use my 25 by 45 foot building with let say

45,000 watts of HID lights it would be closer to outside

but My Wife, Uncle Andy and The Police might frown upon that idea :frowning:

on the other hand the Whore that sells me power would be dancing in street

at about 12 US Dollars an hour :wink: for just lights

so back outside I will go for the summer and grow a few plants I will try to keep under

a hundred but it is a problem for me with so much light and space

The biggest problem in New York for me is it is illegal to grow or smoke flower as a

medical patient

I told someone who grows here if I got busted growing what would they do?

I do not sell pot it is too much work growing and if I was to sell it when I ran out I would have to buy

weed

I grow so I do not have to buy weed that simple

put me in jail? that would not play out well for anyone I am a shitty inmate, I am a security

risk, a danger to other inmates and staff and I am old with about nothing to lose

I have been thinking about planting a hedge about 75 or 80 feet long put plants in at about

2 foot center for 40 - 45 plants and cut it with hedge shears to keep it around 3 1/2 or 4 feet

and let it go in the fall to finish

so I did pick some more beans as you can never have enough and I have forever

wanted to try the work from there

I will not be working with them outside this year but there is always the future

I do hope to build a greenhouse and I have to till up more room as I will not

be filling the wife’s vegetable garden with weed

or so I have been told :wink:

As much as I want to do a hedge I was thinking to my stone self posting

outside stuff in my inside thread :frowning:

why not plant 45 or 50 auto/female plants in a row and let them grow and

they can do the hard work

but are there ones good and stony? I have not a clue at all but you do :slight_smile:

and that is why I come here to learn

So what is a good smoking Feminized Auto Flowering plant? I would get it started

inside and put out plants of a good size

but what grow and where to get seeds? I will need 60 or 70 seeds

I would buy 100 from Mark but with little back ground I do not need sixty days of

ditch weed growing outside here

so what to grow? and where to buy them?

I’ve been eying his 75 day monster kush and the 105 day sour diesel lemon skunk cross! Haven’t seen them grown out either.

I have had snow piles here until June :frowning: it will be a bit

I more than likely have my 2022 outside beans pick out and bought

I bought work from Hybrid From Hell as I have always like the treez

they grow over there

and their stuff is different

I am searching for feminized autos to plant 50 or 75 in a row and let them do the work

outside for me, take them out the end of May a couple 2 or 3 weeks old and done by July

but need to find something that has a smoke worth smoking and at a cost

my cheap ass would pay

as if I need 75 of anything outside :wink:

I will find something I was thinking of tracking down Mighty Mite and work with them

so many plants so little time

well passengers we will be getting ready for our 2021 season

I was asked yesterday how may plans were going I said “everything is under control”

but I do have somewhat of a plan…I plan to grow pot

you got to start somewhere I am going to run some Auto/Feminized plants

with some seeds gifted to by a kind member for this project

100 plants in a row I plan (that word) to put a row on a fence line in the middle of

my property and hide them in plain sight

in a non grow state what could go wrong?

I will have nothing outside in pots this year as I forgot that plants in pots outside equal

more work pots dry out fast and at my place the wind does not blow maybe

three or four times a year

it is very windy

so the other stuff I put out I am hoping to grow large plants but not so much

tall plants

but we are in the planning stage LOL

I just got back from the grain mill where I buy the feed for my livestock

not a farm but I do have some farm animals

I do have a thread going on Industrial Hemp but I have a hard time with two threads

three is beyond my skill set

Hemp is outdoors this is outdoors so here it will go

so talking with my Farmery Friends and one said his boss (brother) wants to grow Hemp

and saw how farmers got burn grow the CDB non stone you little brushes

I said to him it is because they grew the wrong hemp and then told him the right thing

so I have a meeting next week to pitch his brother to grow hemp

I had another farmer on tap to do an acre test field seed run than found out after talking

with him more about it he does herbicide burns on his field and no till farming zero crop rotations

no for me :frowning: this guy I will meet with does till and crop rotation and is an advocate of building

living soil and farms 27,000 acres :slight_smile:

I am so pumped about this I am a believer in hemp as a backbone to our living

in harmony with this planet

I plan to run an one acre test field and do a seed run, we should be able to produce enough

seeds to plant 40 acres in 2022

and the straw (fiber) we produce which is very sale able we pay our cost

so I am hoping this goes well

stepped up and helped me I do not know him and he does not know me other than we are member

for me that did a lot to restore some of my faith in people

and will help a fellow human out because they can

I have been a member here for around 7 months. Many on OG have what I lovingly call “The old hippie mentality”. If you can help someone, do it. Everyday I see people here helping each other. Through knowledge, spreading free seeds, or physically helping like @Swe-can. Helps an old cynic like me see people in a different light!
