With that many plants in containers, they obviously require quite a few hours per day.
I had a similar number of plants in containers many years ago, although they were spread out over 6 acres in NW NJ. 5 to 6 hours per day minimum invested in daily maintenance.
These days I seldom have more than 20 plants
I salute your impressive effort on behalf of your plants.
Best of luck bringing them home this autumn!!
I was just a little bit south of Belvidere, a little west and south of Hackettstown.
In addition to my container plants I had several guerrilla plots spread out in the woods.
By far the very best native soil I have ever used for my in ground plants. Never had to add anything to the rich and loamy native soil…the biggest plants I ever grew. The only real problems I had to contend with were the renegade Deer and then the onslaught of PM and bud blight beginning in late September until harvest.
I was in a LTR with a “horse crazy lady” up until a few years ago.
We had a ranch where we bred gaited horses for trail riding. She used to show (and had won World Grand Champion!) but we were so busy between day jobs, long commute, making/selling little horses, and caring for all the animals (usually around 40-45 horses, cow, goats, donkeys, pigs, cats, dogs, geese, ducks, chickens, etc.) there wasn’t much time to ride, let alone show.
The answer is LITFA, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger , it’s like spoiling a kid for giving him too much attention, I suppose that an overfeeded and ovetwatered plant is less prepared for tough times than one we don’t care much about, she gets used to …
Dequilo , you got brass balls , much respect CNY local here , I also tried NY medical program, what a joke . I did learn about cartridges as you also had to . Dangerous stuff , most people do not know once they go above 4,5 watts battery they are also burning the extraction chemicals. I see people buying huge batteries and using them on medical cartridges and getting deathly sick , NY is trying to poison people. I hope this works out for you , they are still throwing people in jail and flying helicopters. My neighbor just got busted with four plants , it’s going to cost him thousands plus a record . I stopped all growing two years ago when they started talking of legalization. Two years later nothing . Didnt want to risk it with legalization around the corner , so I thought. Good luck brother , Im stuck with Canadian drow m39 beasters or whatever it’s called now and occasionally some uncured junk people are ordering in the mail .to make thing worse coumo has already made it clear only medical patients will be allowed to have small grows , I love ny , I hate ny
It was in January before covid but yes its BULLSHITT. If any year was good for outdoor grow in NY it would be this year , I cant imagine to much funding for helicopter rides left in the piggy bank
Oh well, it’s a direct translation of a spanish saying “Lo que no te mata te hace más fuerte” referred to humans, was that idea translated to plants what I wanted to say. When they are unnatended they tend to be more resilient than those we are constantly checking, overwatering and overfeeding. Your plants look beautiful , have a nice weekend and stay safe …
