I have been between my day job and growing outside this year

it has been non stop

but it has been a blast working outside

I have been inside since 2001 and forgot how much room, light etc.

you have outside

but my plant count is still way north of a federal felony

I agree with that that is why I bought and paid for my place many years ago

it was cheap, taxes are way low and not a hot spot for folks wanting to live

no zoning to speak of, no services from the local town government

just the way I like things

we will see Andy always talks the talk but never walks the walk

and some day you shall

all the best and enjoy the day

Today is 07/29/2020 and time for a real update

so these are the 45 plants in 7 gallon pots, they are in a spot that get sun first

light so I hope that will help with the dew in flower

I am going to trim them to look like a single large green mass

so if they fly this year it may not look like weed

so I have 15 in the ground inside of 4 foot cages

I will trim them to keep them smaller

I have not grown a plant in the ground since 1995 and forgot that

the ground is where plants do the best

Channel+ in a big designer pot might put under light in the house to finish

the tall stuff got a trim to get under the fence, I cut off 6 to 12 inches

they should be fine now

a couple of GG#4 these big tubs appear to be just what the plants

needed

random plants

all the best and have a great day

Those are some beautiful plants my friend. They look great

You do have busy days keeping up with them.

they will get busy for sure

I try to KISS by using 20-20-20 in veg and 10-30-20 flower

Jack’s Classic once a week

I do not use anything else unless there is a problem

so for me it is water as needed and feed them once a week

the 27 gallon tubs will help a lot

enjoy the day and be well

hi @dequilo
i say go bigger and tie down to help hide them. but that’s only if you really want to reduce your count–and your work load lol

@Purple-N-Hairy – i don’t understand what you mean by the trimming window being days or a week? always curious…
as long as all fan leaves are bucked off and branches are broken down and dried properly, you can cure as usual on small branches and trim months later…

this year was so unplanned it was move outside or throw out the plants

I was sure they were all going to die :frowning:

but they did not

if I work outside next year I will grow far less plants, way bigger

and in the ground

grew up in Soundview a real shit hole

I lived in Alphabet City for a bit and moved upstate in1977 to Dannemora

and worked for NYS DOC from a bit

bought my place back in 1997 it is in the middle of nowhere NY

cheap taxes, no zoning and no services so most folks do not move here

my son is a Cali kid he is up in Grassvalley

all the best

update 7/31/2020

so my plant count out side is a bit high and I had 30 seedlings that

would not die even with me not taking care of them

so I thought if I re pot them into the mix I use inside

they become inside plants

Bubba Gum Kush

Hash Passion

Bruce Banner 3

Black and Blue

these were bought back when I was actively killing seed to use inside

so it is time to take care of them and in awhile move them inside

all the best

I am a bit worried, do you think it is safe bringing inside those plants from outdoors? Last time I did that (never again) I brought spider mites to my tents and there wasn’t a happy ending rip . Impressive work what you’re doing, wouldn’t like you to face those problems again … beer3|nullxnull

I did move 15 inside to flower in my room so we will see

I did look them over good and rinse them with a hose before they went in

but the are the only thing in there for now

these will be outside for awhile

I do not want to deal with the mites again they ran me outside

which has not be all bad

all the best

try this again

outside plants in an outside thread

Channel+ in a 4 foot tall page wire cage, I have not work in the ground in awhile

I will be making beds outside this fall of next year

Channel+ is Big Bud x Skunk but I have never grown it outside

this is a plant that someone from Cali gave me years ago

he called it The Black from Dark Heart Nursery

great stone

Ganj-Nam Style Mekong High X Critical Mass

I got this as a single seed about 6 or 7 years ago and have been growing it

inside first time outside so I hope for good things

The Black coming back after the trim

GG#4 in 27 gallon tubs

this big tubs for 6 dollars are working out so much better the 7 gallon

pots, now when I water it does not have to be six times a day

all the best and be well

@dequilo if you need help let me know. I’m not the fastest trimmer but I’m a hard worker. I love the effort you are putting into this grow, it’s truly inspirational. Thanks for sharing. I mean it too I’m close and willing to learn and work. Blessings keep up the great work! One day I’m going to have a bit of land and show my daughter how to grow. Man you got me so excited!1 talk to you later.
