Octopot , clones , seeds , mainlining , grafting and mothers

Well plants looked droopy this morning I believe the lights were way too low 16 inches from plant to light , So I raised the 500 what to to about 26 inches and the smaller lights up to 23 inches

This should really help

Hi all you outlaws and fellow OG’s
Well it now 10 days since I transferred the ladies into the Octopots both big and small

All seem to be growing and thriving nicely
A much better color on all
And even Frankenstein is looking better then ever

All plants are being shaped for mainline style

Up potted the 4 plants leftover from this grow
I’ll keep them small 3 moms and a banana loaf that didn’t keep up with the other

Well here’s a few pics

The one in the big Octopot is a bit behind
I may just too her to see what both do

Hey, your first paragraphs remind me the @Dequilo posting style, much easy to read Arriba|nullxnull, miss that man, there’s people here that have panic to press the Enter key :see_no_evil:. I am going to copy it from now on … frech|nullxnull

I believe mainlining is very productive but you never see how those plants really look like icon_e_confused|nullxnull, it works for you so all good, they’re still beautiful indeed … beer3|nullxnull

Funny you say that
Last run with most of these I let them go basically only super cropped a few

It was crazy in there
At least I feel more in control lol

But I did cut down on the quantity this run

Mainlining or is it just lst gone wild

I’ve seen many threads on the subject lightattic
On ig wrote ebooks on it
Groweedeasy has a great tutorial on the subject
All are interesting
Now traditionally you top and remove everything below

Then GWE tells you that you can leave the 2 branches below the main and remove the rest

Both get great results and do take time to take shape

And everyone says that mainlining clone is difficult and you can’t get the same effect

Ok maybe maybe not

I say just bend the bitch and do it

Here’s Mac 1 from mature clone
I started to shape her at 5 nodes
She’s in flower now 11 days and has that shape but I left 4 branches below the main
1 I did cut as a clone
But the rest took shape very well !
Also I did not defoliate at all only removed the lower branches and left the leaves

Not topped just bent at the node

So this run
All my clones are taking shape early ( only 11 days since I transplanted them )
Some are lanky some are bushy and short but they all seem to be working out

So as you see I’ve got different plants that have over different shapes being trained in a modified mainline style

I believe I’ll achieve the same results in less time this way

So smoke em if you got em

Puff puff :dash: pass

Do you remove every other set of nodes ???

On the main branches I do every other node
On the lower I only leave the top 3 nodes

Instead of removing nodes I would hold steady the hoziontal node with thumb and finger and then with the other hand thumb finger hold vertical node and over twist it past hozinontal so comes back now horizontal

Phew

Do it when they thirsty so more pliable stems = less breakage , although no reall breakage with twisting : )

I’ve bent the lowers in most of the grows

It some time’s leave you with a lot of sights not reaching the canopy and it pays to skip a node to allow the branch much needed space

All in all it’s a mater of preference

Every time I do this it’s always something new

I like to see how they react to the crap I put them through lol
