I drank PBR at one time. Miler high life also. Bud never liked it. Dark beer
♂… hello, Mr. Skool … we just wanted to alert you that a Magpie was seen headed your way
I’m jealous. I’m a pretty big Zappa fan, but too young to have seen him live. I saw Zappa plays Zappa with @8k_feet maybe almost 15 years ago and it was awesome. The production was definitely bigger too.
Damn @GMan! I hope you’re warm and you paid the co-op electric bill. Are you getting along with them better this year? Ms oleskool hasn’t had a day off in almost 2 weeks. It’s wedding season at Camp Comfort. She’s been doing two weddings a week plus a full B&B. Old girl is working her old German ass off. I feel bad just hangin’ around the shack tryin to put a good buzz on! For a lil minit anyway.
Love and Hill Country Peaches!
The warmer days are coming!
Hey, that Zappa show really blew me away. It always seemed like his albums were sort of weird at times and i had no idea of what to expect. But man, they rocked the hell out of that place. It really took me off guard, but they were real geniuses on stage. I forget how many, but it was a good sized band. It was at the Univ of Alabama Foster(?) Theater. My other top concert was Led Zeppelin at the same campus but in the much larger coliseum. They were both around 72-74ish. Now I want to dig into YouTube to see if I can find any Zappa. Thank God for YouTube! peace
Was it from @Enjoi802 directly perhaps?
Oh yeah, I meant to mention that to @oleskool830 above. That’s exactly who it is.
This is the truth, for me I believe that Jo’s Garage was Zappa’s most commercially viable release to date. Plus funny as hell, if you really sit down and listen to the lyrics about the Rock ‘n’ roll industry.
Dam, I feel old. I got to see Jimi Hendrix play at the old Boston Garden.
What ever. Your just a puppy. lol I’m sure that was cool. I’m a widespread panic person. I have seen some good bands. Kansas Marshall Tucker. And some others. I would have to say the craziest stuff that I have ever seen Rob Zombie.
Damn, he actually came to the Univ of Alabama, and I didn’t get to go. That had to be really close to when he passed.
It’s weird, I saw Stevie Ray Vaughn when I was living in Montana, just before he died. He played in the field house/basketball stadium, and they had the stage facing just one side, so, about 3,000 fans. We had good seats but I also had my binoculars and kept them locked onto his hands mostly. He was really good live.
I also got to meet, and party with some of the Lynyrd Skynyrd band, and got free tickets to stand in from of the stage in an area blocked off to others. A girl friend of mine knew them. They died in a plane crash, too, not long after that.
Man, I saw so many shows, mostly during high school, and venues were still sort of small compared to todays big shows outside. The 70’s was so chocked full of fun bands.
I got to see Kansas at the Fox Theater in Atlanta. It was cool, it was sort of a bar, too, in the back. I saw Marshall Tucker a few times, being from the south. I saw them years later in a parking lot of some bar in Asheville, North Carolina, ha. Man, were they a washed up mess. Not bad but it was only a couple of the originals and they said they had just come from Jamaica where they did a show at Hedonism, the clothes optional beach resort in Negril, lol… they still looked fucked up. Bad thing was only about 200 people showed up to watch them, lol. But, they were awesome in their early days.
I worked a catering gig for one of Gary Rossington daughters wedding. O and let me say there was a lot of smoking of the good stuff going on. Fun times.
Opened my mail slot and couldn’t see in… Mist was drifting around, restricting my view. Tenaciously, I reached my hand into the obscurity, and “through the fog” I withdrew:
Many thanks my friend; I showed my partner and she immediately said “You have to grow the Longbottom next!” (Big Lord of the Rings fan, as I mentioned).
So I guess we know what strain is on deck!
True Dat my brother!
Glad they made it. Have fun with that Long Bottom Leaf. Give my regards to your lady.
Peace/Love/Sharing
I thought that image you spun was funny as hell. That’s so cool to me. Those icons and the slogans. They were everywhere for stoners in the 60’s-70’s. Mr Natural, lol. All of the poster, black light, “pop art” they called it. I enjoy re-living some of those times.
Hey y’all! This is my little BlakDak/Pine Tar Kush. She’s a frosty girl but so small. Shes been in 12/12 for 13 weeks! So cute.
These are Apple Fritter/Trop Cookies. They had a nice long Zen Veg of at least 5 weeks. These girls went to flower tent tonight. Huge plants!
Adios…
Man, I want to get those from @lefthandseeds going. The Black Dak and Low Dak I think. You got some pretty plants. They just don’t care for winter do they? They should do good with spring coming on. peace
