Oleskool’s Shitkicker Grow Show. Navigating the Fog

Whas Happnin’

Nice cool day in the Hill Country. High in the lower 80s and a nice breeze. Installed a 2nd louvre fan in the Shed today. Trying to prep for summertime. The BlakDak/PTK was a frosty little lady. Not much there but while it lacked in size it didn’t lack for potency. Very stoney weed I must say! Smells and tastes kushy but the stone is affy all the way. I’ve got the Womo/Super Skunk that will likely come down this weekend. Real pretty plants but buds are on the small side. Speaking of small buds I’m changing bloom boosters on the upcoming runs and see if that’s my small bud problem. I wonder sometimes if silica in flower could result in this but that’s a guess I just pulled outa my ass. IDK. The AppleFritter/TropCookies got their first bloom nutes today after 6 days of MegaCrop in 12/12. Some Cali-Awakening from Kelp4Less results in a plethora of bud sights. Great stuff!
The Black Tuna is in wk 7 and beginning to stack up. Again…undersized buds. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: It’s too early to tell on them really. The nursery is crowded with a mess of Crater Lake F2 patiently waiting. There’s also a few Mandarin Sunset/Snow Lotus in there. I’ll get pics tomorrow. That fan kicked my ass and I smashed the shit out of my finger! :flushed: I’m gonna “smoke 2 joints” now! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Blessings…

I enjoyed seeing the Quicksilver Messenger Service. They played at Boutwell Auditorium downtown Birmingham. I saw so many shows at that place. I wish I had a video of every one I attended. I’d watch them over and over and over.

Snowed here last night. But it rained first (spring is here). It was a wet snow that stuck to everything so it looked cool this morning. It’s been around 38-40 all day so it’s mostly melted except for the north sides of the trees.

I have a bunch of seeds sprouting, for quick turnaround. It’ll be a buffet of strains. :grinning:

Yeah I got a little excited about springtime and started too many plants. I’ve been stressed for the last week or so. Plants that are 10 weeks flowering and I expected 8. Flower Tents are too crowded. Zen Veg plants are starting their 5th week of Veg and are huge. The Nursery babies are too big for their solo cups and need up potting, but there’s nowhere to put them after up potting! My Womo/Super Skunk are in week 9 and still have white pistils. All of these things have been causing me great anxiety.
Well, it made me remember years ago when I was just on, I was having this same anxiety over the difficulties in my grow. One day a post showed up in my thread that simply said; “Go slow oleskool go slow.” There was not a sender for it and I still don’t know who it was. At the time that was exactly what I needed to hear. Today that memory made me stop and think. I need to slow down, let the grow happen and not try to schedule and plan too much. Just “Let it Be” and go slow. I can still grow hard but slow and steady. Installing that fan had me stressed and bummed out too, The fact that I’m getting too old and weak to do things that used to come so effortlessly. Don’t look back. It makes one realize that the road ahead is so much shorter than the road behind.

I hear you brother. I feel the clock ticking. My sanity has been up and down this winter, too.

I figure I’ll get half males, so it may not be too much. I’ve kicked myself before for doing too much. One day at a time, huh bro? We gotta learn to stop worrying about tomorrow and live in the present. Tomorrow will be busy worrying about itself. Hit me up anytime. peace

Did she use you like a towel? Lol. I had that happen one. It was an experience. Some towels have it made. And others are stuck in some ruff places.

I know bro! I went back to 5 gal because I wanted more yield. I forgot how damn heavy they are when wet. After the plants get a certain size I don’t take them out of the tent.
I used to haul my water a couple years ago when I first moved to the shed. 5 gal in each hand! Fuck dat! Onward!

A gallon of water weighs 7 pounds. It adds up. 8.3 Is what it says

Heh, I started using a dolly to move them outside if I have to. I sure not getting more healthy. I guess a lot of that lies at my own feet. I’m gonna try to get back into stretching, at least. I need to start hiking again. Been a while since I’ve done anything real serious. We have a few nice local trails in town that aren’t crazy, and sort of on the short end.

How’s things going down there? Tell the famdamnily hello. Hit me up later and catch me up. I’m doing my best to get things done around here today. It’s about to come at me fast. :persevere: :space_invader:

Exactly what I’m doing. It’s hot already. Transplanting my tomatoes into big pots. I have what I call Mount Pro-Mix in my backyard where I’ve been dumping used pots of Pro-Mix and Happy Frog for years. I’m using some of that with some fresh Happy Frog. It takes a lot to fill these 10 gallon bags. Should have a shitload of good home grown cherry tomatoes. We eat them like candy! Another 90 degree day. Summer sneaks up on you here. Right after our 2 or 3 day Spring! I’m going to get more active too. Lately my wake and bake isn’t over till noon. :sunglasses: I chopped 2 of 3 of the Womo/SS. Disappointing so far. Like the BD/PTK it’s just OK.

So true. And, Sundays could be a little worse… :expressionless: At least I’ve been interspersing useful chores here and there. Time to pot seedlings now.

Some interesting stuff on chitosan. I ordered some and plugged it into my feeding regimen at 1/4 tsp per gal. Gonna keep an eye on it and see what’s up.
