I think it just dropped to 88. It was hot again. We have a breeze though. I had to move plants into the shade this afternoon. Most are in plastic pots and those roots can get cooked. No humidity, and bone dry. If I have to I can wrap them up with Panda film with the white side out. It’s actually cooling down now. It feels great here on the porch with a nice light breeze and shady as the sun is behind the mountain behind my house. I hope I can get the house to cool down tonight.

That’s the kicker. How much and what emotions do you ride with after something like this so close to home. Rage, fear, hopelessness all play a role in how you go forward. Hard to wrap your brain around.

The aphid didn’t seem to be injured in any way by the sulfur water. Damned thing escaped the microscope slide at one point when the water dried up.

Hey y’all. Got a little break today. It was only 96! The two Bogglegum/Orange Goji are still hanging on. They always look thirsty even when they’re hydrated. I know they’re struggling and I’m trying to nurse them along. Assuming they make it to harvest it looks like I’ll have some smokable herb for a minute. I’ve still got the 2 SSDD girls and 5 White Widow seedlings. All need up potting. I’m still lined up for the Twenty20 Ogre Berry Autos as soon as tent space indoors is available. This week hopefully. As always

Hey are using hard pots or felt pots? Felt pots will help the plants breathe better and should keep the roots cooler. I couldn’t remember which you use.

I use those AC infinity grow bags. Now I’m freezing drinking water bottles and poking 3 holes in them vertically. At lights off I place one in each pot. The water slowly thaws and drips coolness in there in an attempt to keep the roots from frying. I don’t know if it helps but it’s an effort. Are all of your outdoor plants doing well? I hope you get a couple of trees this year. Will you have SSDD volunteers? The basketball game sucks. Looks like Golden State again. This is probably going to be their swan song. Been a good run for them. That Celtics coach will have them there again. Young team with great players. Alas basketball season’s over. I’m still running with my Astros!
