Operation fuck cancer grow

I ended up transplanting some of the biggest into bigger pots. Much better drainage on the new pots, figured they would also dry out some with the new soil.

On my other thread @Maddawg gave me the great suggesting of cutting the sides of the cup on the bottom instead of the very bottom like I did

ā€¦Aaaaaand roots donā€™t like light so consider covering the sides with foil or cardboard. :v:

:evergreen_tree: Not that I donā€™t occaisonally have clear pots

they look a lot happier. good on you. up potting for sure helped. also the dark non clear pots will help. roots like dark not light. when in clear cup the roots get light it is troubling to themā€¦ they like thinking they are under ground in the dark . enjoy the growā€¦

I did a little modifying on my tent tonight. I added a lower bar to hang my lights so I could move my plants out of the corner of the tent

I also repotted my other plants with the exception of one because I ran outta soil :unamused:

I have a few questions. My plants are 3 an 4 weeks old now but still super short, is this normal? Iā€™ve tried moving the lights to different heights. Are they stunted because of the watering problems? Could it be a nuke they are deficient in. The fungus gnats? The little bastards came back.

Iā€™ve been spraying my plants down at lights out with a lightly soapy water. Are their any other natural methods? I know sand is a option, Iā€™ve also been looking into mosquito bits. Iā€™ve read about a garlic spray or even sticking a clove in the dirt, is any of that true?
Fungus gnats have completely taken over my compost, which is how I ended up with them in the first place. I worry about them moving over to the hoop house, so I also need something pet safe to treat outside

Iā€™ve begun the process of training my plants an did some trimming to allow more light in. Iā€™m not seeing any early sex but the plants are so small itā€™s hard to tell

An lastly has anybody use Ilovegrowingmarijuana nukes? They were nice enough to give me a coupon to an I choose their Marijuana fertilizer kit

So you just transplanted a few days ago, expect an increase in growth, gnats love it when you over waterā€¦ so watch that, you want to give the plant the moisture it needs, not necessarily what the medium can hold. I alternate neem oil and captain jacks dead bug brew weekly to control most all pests around here.

Iā€™ve been looking for my led instructions to figure out how high they recommend hanging it. I feel like I remember it being 30" but that sounds high for that little thing. I looked on Amazon to try to figure it out but I donā€™t think itā€™s sold anymore. Input?

Yesterday, I went a little extreme with the gnats an did a h2o2 drench an added some glue traps. Thankfully I havenā€™t killed them yet lol definitely seeing less actively, just the occasional one flying around

when my plants were in seedling stage, i had my led panel pretty close, but also quite dim. i think it was 12" at ~20% brightness. you could be further away with your light, but then you would spend more on electricity to maintain sufficient light levels. in early-mid veg, i probably was at 18" at 50-70% brightness, and now as iā€™m flipping into flower, iā€™m pushing my brightness a little more and raising a touch higher to get a more even ppfd across my space, as my tent has become quite filled.

My lights suck an doesnā€™t have a brightness control. Is that something that can be added?
