Organical's not really organic, (mis)adventure's in growing!

Man I was already shopping earlier :joy:, I’m gonna try and stick to my word with the wife on waiting til the end of the year. Now I was thinking about ordering some perlite and running an auto in it… :face_with_monocle:

Keep in mind you’ll need some hydo nutes, some cal-mag, some ph down, and a 1+ gallon bucket. Hope you do it man I don’t think you’ll go back. If you go with the general hydro nutes from my grow log I’ll be able to tell you exactly how much i feed by week etc until you get the hang of it.

Just ordered the perlite, and it will be here tomorrow :sunglasses:

So according to @GreenleafNutrients (on the bag, anyways) these dry nutes from them are good for all mediums, hydro included, so I’m gonna rock out with these since I bought the whole line a month or so ago. And I have plenty of seeds to replace if I mess anything up early on. I’m gonna have to do some re-reading of your thread anyway, just to freshen up on everything you’ve shared my friend.

Yes sir I’m sure that stuff will work!

I’m sure I’ll have questions for you my friend, I’ve been reading your thread long enough though, I should know a little bit haha!

Green Crack Auto from seedsman into paper! I don’t think I mentioned this before, but I have an old point of sale that I converted to a Plex server on my desk in the office. I slide the bag with the seed into a drink coozie for the dark and then lay it behind/beneath the screen, on top of the parts that get warm, it’s a perfect little seedling germinator  -

Perlite is already here, getting ready to go rinse it all off to be all prepared!

Love that (and Plex is great).

Yeah I love it, I still have some streaming subscriptions but I like having the option to download stuff and put it there, especially obscure stuff lol.

@methodanon what kind/size of drainage holes do you do? These strawberry containers are spot on 1 gallon when I filled it with water. They seem a little taller/slimmer than your double bubble buckets but I think they’ll work nicely.

Hey Buddy,

1 hole, 2-2.25 inches from the bottom of the bucket, about this size

(Water bottle cap / tape measure for reference.)

And yeah your buckets will work great.

Awesome :sunglasses:, thanks brother !

Took an extra day off from work today. Culled the other two males, had a good tail on the green crack auto already so I went ahead and put that puppy into the perlite! I’ll be hopefully able to keep it moist/fed enough til it establishes. I also got the tent poles in!

Looking good! The girls are in great shape. The London Pound Cake has truly found its groove, it’s a pretty sizeable plant now compared to the SM, at least speaking about how much all the lowers caught up to the top nodes. But with the Ol’ Donkey Dick as the mom of the SM, I can’t wait to see how those top colas look in a month or so :yum:. Picture is right before watering so they were a tad droopy.

The Green Crack auto in the hempy is doing well! It looks much better in this photo but this morning it was a bit more upside down :upside_down_face:. Last night I noticed it’s seed was stuck and sort of holding it down onto its stem, so I gave it a hand with that and I’m happy it’s correcting itself and still alive haha.

Thanks for checking in my friends!

Looking good! I’m glad everyone is off and running more smoothly.

My long-suffering “has had it rougher than the other one” plant started off like the green crack, with the seed shell hanging on. Overall it has held its own, I have high hopes for your little hempy bucket friend there.

Thank you my friend! I should probably start soaking the beans in advance to help with this, I’ve had a number of seeds with helmets. I may also be guilty of being impatient and helping them off earlier than necessary

Quick post before lights out and bed for me, everyone perky and happy - and the green crack straightened herself out .
Goodnight my friends!

Some pics to wrap up the weekend my friends (my weekend is just starting )

So I bought bubble hash gear, I’m gonna run all the trim from the past 2 grows tomorrow that’s been taking up space in my freezer . And more than likely after that test run, I’ll be running more or less 2 ounces of the LSD Auto, it was the second plant that turned out to be really grassy smoke so I haven’t really touched it. I’m really looking forward to learning that process!!

Hash time! This was purely trim so I’ll take anything, clockwise starting from the top left - 120, 90, 73, 45, 25. The right side is the second cycle of the same material, very green, a lot of plant material must have broken down by then.

I’ve got it air drying right now, gonna run the LSD bud tomorrow .

And tell me I’m wrong my friends, but I’ve got an unfortunate picture of the London Pound Cake -

Sure looks like a herm to me, huh? Let me know what you think :expressionless:

Green Crack is looking good! @methodanon , about how long in your experience til the roots hit the reservoir? 2-3 weeks is it?
