Hello peoples 
So we’re doing the solo cup challenge, if you guys are feeling up to it, join in on the fun! Solo Cup '25
I dropped 2 Blood Orange Haze S2s, auto fems, one is gonna be a solo cup hempy and the other another strawberry bucket hempy! I let them soak for 40 hours and we had two tails so into the perlite they just went 
.
The left cola on the SM started leaning so I hooked it to the tent pole, she’s on day 48 of flower I believe and the Green Crack is on day 42 since sprout. Anyways, all is well my friends, I hope you have a peaceful rest of your Wednesday.

Lol nice man! Hempy style solo was my secret weapon in the solo cup challenge haha, looks like I have some good competition now 
. I’m just wondering how big to let it get in veg, I can’t water 3 times a day. Also thinking ill need to cut a hole in a shoe box or something to hold the cup because it’s definitely gonna want to tip over lol. Good times.

These are autos so, sort of a different category if we’re talking specifics haha! I was thinking the same thing as far as keeping it upright, my initial thought was I was going to superglue the cup to one of these plastic plant bases just for a wider footprint.

Figuring out a way to drip the perfect amount of water in automatically would be killer.
I checked and they have these type of things at amazon etc.
Once we figure out how much they’re drinking from the solo, can do a “drips per minute” calculation on the iv tubing to give perfect amount per day lol… Wheels are spinning.

, I was looking into some of the cheap self watering things but none have jumped out at me yet.

If you do this may I suggest getting drip-clean in your mix. It helps keep the salts in the solution and not clogging shit up. I always have a bottle of it around for when I do any nutrient solution movement with 1/4" drip lines or emitters.

So I bought a pack of those self watering spikes, 12 for like 8 bucks. I think my plan will be something along the lines of rigging the waterer up on the pole, either with zip ties to the corner, or potentially with one of the ratchet string hooks I have laying around. And then running a plastic tube from the dripper down into the cup once it has a base to secure it better.

Yeah man good plan. I’ve kept a clone in a solo hempy for a good month before waiting for a buddy to pick it up. Watered once a day no problem. I’m curious to see just how much these solo sized roots end up drinking.

That gives me hope, although I’m confident for Sunday through Friday, it’s possible I will forget to check on a Saturday morning before my long shift is my motivation to get something set up. If only I only worked 8 hours at a time

I have to say gave that hole 2.5 inches from the bottom lol. I wanted to go 3 but it was like half way up the cup

I probably should have went higher, I did it at 2 inches. If self watering is successful than no harm no foul, so we’ll see lol.

. I do hope someone takes the lead on it, obviously I’m running this solo cup regardless though!
I opened the tent and man that left cola had fallen hard -
Supporting the plants structurally through the end of flower needs to be higher on my priority list next time, the paracord works fine™, but I could be doing it better. Otherwise she is chugging along!
Not the happiest seedling I’ve seen in the normal hempy, it very may well be from messing with it trying to get the roots under the perlite - she’ll be fine I think.
Green Crack is looking great, she’s really fanning out and taking up the open tent space where she can, pleased with her so far for being so easy.
Happy with where the tent is currently at, very much looking forward to getting that 5x5 in the next month and getting silly with all this .

Nice dude my solo plant sprouted too but she’s still rocking a helmet lol, ill grab a picture later. Fwiw I’ve never used a humidity dome with my hempy seedlings, that could be what’s bothering your plant.

And honestly, she is really pleased I am into something this much so she doesn’t mind haha, I hadn’t had many hobbies in recent history and nothing that has kept me interested. It’s nice having something to look forward to .

Small update, the 2 BOHs are doing much better, I think you were right about the dome @methodanon . Not much to add, we’re on day 55 of flower for the Sunset Manor so about 2 weeks left on her. I’m putting my guess down now for 5oz dry weight off of her . Have a great rest of your night my friends!
