Luckily we kept power the whole time. My grows in the garage so I was able to keep the door from garage to kitchen open. Temps might have hit 65 in the room . Outside we were around -8 . Windchill was much colder. We got lucky.
Thatās what i did too. I got down to 55.
Happy friday folks!
Hey. Are any of you guys familiar with any of the soil companies here in Okieland? I need some new soil, and Iām thinking about buying some premixed, but I donāt have a feel for any of those companies. I also need to find a source of worm castings, preferably around Muskogee.
Thanks.
@Guitarzan have you thought about getting dirt with manure from livestock auction barns or horse stables where you get manure mixed with pine shavings, these are two free sources . You could add peat moss , perlite, dolomite, alfalfa pellets and espoma and be good to go in a week .
Heyā¦if you havenāt already got your license check this outā¦Oklahoma House Passes Bill That Would Limit Number Of Medical Marijuana Businesses | KGOU
Peaking of licenses, does anybody know, Can I get my commercial license and have my grow in the spare bedroom of my house? Or am I required to have a seperate place for a grow? I see they are soon to limot the amount of people in the industry and its a life long dream of mine so if its possible to do out my home what do I actually habe to do to get started. Also would a 4x4 tebt be enough to get me started? Or realisticly what does a small commercial grow op look like in Oklahoma?
First of all it costs 2500 a year to get a commercial license. I would much rather line up some folks who need you to grow for them and get a caregiver license.
That is great advice thank you, what do you typically charge as a caregiver?
Because of my Real Jobā¦I donāt do the caregiver thing. Iām not sure if you can charge or what the rate is.
Oh well then that brings me back to what dO i need to do to get into actually doing a commercial set up, like what does a small commercial grow look like in Oklahoma? I would like to do the commercial growing as my real job
Red bud soil is good ā¦ itās the only one I have personal experience withā¦
My understanding is It would have to be a separate buildingā¦
Hereās my small growā¦
Just my advice/opinion unless you like dealing with everything that comes with owning/running a business, try to find a job in the industry, donāt start your own growā¦
Yea it was the running my own business, following my passion, is more of my route than just a job.
You can still follow your passion at a ājobā and Iām not trying to discourage you in any way, but from experience, the business regulation and other BS that comes with owning a grow can Rob you of your passion for growing. Iāve seen it happen, and came damn close to quitting myself, but Iām too damn stubborn to quitā¦ At a ājobā you donāt have to deal with any that and can focus on what you love to doā¦
Thatās all Iām sayingā¦
I get it, I just want to be my own boss, its like really important to me.
I know the feelingā¦
This is gnarly
soil guru for sure brother
