Into the compost it goes…
Day 25
Moved them over to the other side, and ignore the front right plant, no sts induced pollen sacs yet as far as i see, also planted the rest of the seeds.
Haha, bet I know what cross that plant was from.
you know could be a possibility though honestly no idea due to the mix
Bro, cleanest setup ever. Got hospitals jealous. Looking good.
Day 27, and im calling day 0 tomorrow on the little ones s they should all be open by then.
Starting to see i believe pollen sac formations on some parts of the sprayed plants, and they have been responding well to a bunch of changes i made feed wise.
Tomorrow will be an indicator of what all made it seed wise, the top left forsure isn’t doing anything so 11/12 potentially at the moment.
Day 30/2
Bigger three are working on pollen sacs with one thats lagging though i figure its a bit longer time variety.
As for the little ones they are up one forsure wasn’t gonna make it another the tap root just stopped though you can see it still there, and the little ones likely had some issues from the suspected mold that bloomed, though ill give them a watering today and likely transplant them in a couple days into actual pots, and get things going.
Nice looking babies.
Day 32/4
The 3 working on pollen the back left begin the most resinous so far.
The little ones needing a transplant in the next couple days.
Day 34/6
Need to get the GOC x PL out of this cab before any pollen starts to drop in the next week or so, also repotted the little ones this morning some obviously better than others though they have a good 2+ weeks before i will definitely make some selections.
Day 37/9
The three are about to drop pollen this coming week, also flopped some tops afterwards saying that the back left plant which shows the most resin unfortunately will have the lowest amount of pollen it may just be that that plant didn’t accumulate as much silver as the others though ill try and make it even when the time comes, one of the others should be fine resin wise though the other one on the left over calyxs im a little concerned in using it just as it doesn’t observably show much resin at all it very well could just be a long variety that needs time still though my feelers are perked up on this one due to that.
Just wanting to try and optimize outcomes, whats all your thoughts on that ?
As for the little ones they are enjoying the new pots.
I would feel the same way. Nothing wrong with one not making it to the podium. I’m pretty ruthless and would probably take it out of the running if I felt it wasn’t worthy.
I agree and also think maximizing outcomes is also a goal you will achieve.
Day 39/11
Stripped back the pollen producers with the one removing off water and will soon to be chopped, reasons as shown below.
So here is a calyx shot of the low resin producer i was talking about that doesn’t give me any confidence.
In comparison to say the next one up from it as far as resin production goes, obvious big difference imo.
As for the little ones they are doing well and will need more space shortly.
All caught up.
I am always amazed by how fast your seedlings take off!
I know maximum diversity was one of your goals with this project, however, we all want to grow potent, resinous plants. So if one of the potential pollen donors is found by you to be lacking in some way, I think we would all stand by your decision to remove it from the gene pool. Plenty of variation will be introduced through the use of multiple strains for the seed producing females.
Wow! @Mr.Sparkle, Amazing difference, from hairs to crystals!! Same age in both plants!? Can only imagine what’s going through your mind! Maybe not! Quite impressive! Kudos!
Day 41/13
The Left side front pollen producer is throwing a bunch of failed pods im guessing a response from the leaf stripping, so ive just be pulling them to keep it clean as the actual legit ones are slowly get ready as im coming across the odd one with viable pollen.
As for the little ones i separated them out though they still need more space so a couple may get culled before saturday, ill try for an even 8 to move forward with till further into flower when i can consider bud and trichome production as far as selections goes.
Very interesting, just going to sit back and watch
Day 44/16
Waiting on viable pollen of the front left plant that’s throwing dud pollen sacs for the most part, the back plant has viable pollen just less pollen sacs though they both have about 10 days still to produce before i either chop them as ive collected enough or decided that they need to continue on till im back after the holidays.
The little ones need more room asap, and i need to get them on some auto waters, so that’s likely happening today or this weekend at minimum.
