Ok good stuff. I always forget about those damn rollers lol, I swear they were designed to crush seeds and vials
The 0.5ml tubes are a good choice.
I was wondering about using #1 coin envelopes and vacuum packed in little freezer bags. Those will mail perfectly.

Yeah, I jumped the gun on the larger vials not realizing how little is needed but have ordered some .5 ML vials. I am pretty stoked about that really. If .5 ml is enough to get someone through a couple grows than this is perfect. That means 48 vials of pollen have been collected so far. The ability to send pollen to so many people makes me a happy man. I had figured a few people but this has exceeded my expectations in a really good way. I will keep collecting as long as the males are dumping it and than it`s just a matter of waiting for seeds to develop and mature. I can almost picture a wiki in this threads future
Yea not much is needed, but Iāll take 2ml and cut it myself
So, 1x10^5 grains per mg, or 1x10^8 per gram. (yes, I rounded slightly)
Iām guessing you got enough there to pollinate every female plant on the planetā¦
Cheers

LOL, those who are going to do more with it can get more I got no problem with that.
That is really cool. When I looked at the little dish it didnāt look like much but when I put it in the vials I realized I had around 24ml, I was pretty stoked to hear how little is needed. Looks like we are one small step closer to overgrowing the world
So a quick question, how does one tell when pollen is dry? It it sitting in a dish inside a sealed Tupperware container with a dehumidifier now. How long should it be left there and what is next step to keeping it viable? @lefthandseeds , can you provide some guidance here please?
I usually keep one of those mini hygrometers in there and you can watch the humidity come down. If you donāt have one of those to go in there, to be safe Iād give it a good 3-4 days.
I have a bunch of those so I will toss one in. What would be the target RH and what do I do once it reaches target? Freeze in air tight containers? Refrigerate?
Use something like a small zip lock so you can get all the air out of it first. Think cocaine baggies.
Then you want to put it in the freezer, not refrigerator. You donāt want the water thatās left to condense, you want it frozen.
Target RH is as low as possible. If you havenāt seen it drop for a day, then itās probably as low as you can get it in your container. My mini hygrometers read down to 10%. I could only ever get to about 15% in the sterilite gasket tubs, but thatās still pretty good.
Prefect, many thanks. I dropped one of those monitors into the Tupperware and will see what itās at. Appreciate the guidance.
I have mold allergiesā¦and when the neighbor(s), of which I think there are at least 3 (that are taking turns doing their part to personally raise the temperature of the state of Michigan/firebugs/arsonists/covering grow smells?) burn any wood or leaves I have to go indoors. I canāt stand it.
@DougDawson dust is explosive in the air donāt forget.
Got a couple of those. Handy. Using it to tell me when to burp and doing the best ever at bringing stuff down to rh target.
Damn Doug lol I been watching and you just keep on gathering more and more pollen! Way to go bro! I wouldnāt mind getting some of that to drop on a few select girls here lol
Thanks bud. It appears I will be able provide this to a large number of people so no worries. I will get a list going at some point.
Well now, a Sunday night, another pollen grab, a little over 10 more ML of pollen collected. Life is good. Here are your updates from this chronic poster to show you one more day of progress.
Nice pictures Doug! the seeds look to be forming nicely! Awesome pollen grab how are you collecting it?
The @lefthandseeds way I turn off the fans, bend each branch over a bowl and touch the stem with an ultrasonic tooth brush. It vibrates the pollen out into the bowl. Run it up and down each branch and than take it and put it in my pollen shaker to separate out the plant material. Than into a Tupperware with a dehumidifier it in. Itās sitting at 23% RH in the tupperware at the moment.
Sounds like youāre having too much fun with those plants bro
