Well, with that much pollen… I’d be surprised if you couldn’t smell it!
I need some of that. I have 2 Ghost girls. Would like to try to cross one with PPP. It’s 2 weeks into flower so perfect timing!
I with you on that one!
I let my plants run longer (extra month) to make sure the seeds were done & I had some unseeded bud left over from that preservation run that I’m smoking now.
Very interesting high, it blasts you up like Yeager going for an altitude record and you are back down in an hour. Very trippy.
Doing a sensimilla run on the clones for comparison.
Cheers

I’m in! …if I don’t win that Bubba kush in the auction
In recent years I have come to notice extremely different qualities in Mary’s scents.
Purple Heart, from Sebring’s site, has an aroma that is 100% unmistakably pot.
But the edge or the high notes turn that cat into an orchestral performance to the sheer joy of the nasality inclined.
G 13 was just skunk bee-hind, Jack Herrer had an almost non noticeable piney? mango?
Not a hint of skunk.
Golden Tiger has some aroma esp flowering males.
Zamaldelica is purported to have carrot overtones but that is difficult for me to perceive through the spicy pine smell.
One thing the sativas lack is that cloying smell that embeds itself into your entire body like some indicas can.
Can’t get near some people at the store as the skunk smell is “catchy”.
One zam clone I had going from my original seed pkt developed strong skunky odor as she was host to the largest swarm of FG’s or RA’s I’ve encountered. The yellow sticky trap was almost totally black with gnats.
Poor gal didn’t survive the overnight soak(7 gallons tap water x 1/3 cup castile soap), she was in such bad shape.
Since then I’ve added neem seed meal to my mix and kow, they have been bug free till present.
Well I have been a bit absent between a holiday and cat illness but here are some pics for you all. The plant in my main tent went a bit yellow while I was gone but still looking reasonably strong. The other 2 seem to be doing fine.
Still beautiful!! Kudos!
In the outdoor growing days the bud often had seeds, It was excellent. That is when I first started removing all the males and kept another plot to grow seed, a key point I see now is there was no diversity in seeds. Rejoining the grow decades later I am finding endless fascination with all of varieties, the differences, the breeding, the knowledge.
looking good!
Thanks man. I am so not used to looking at seeded bud. I was thinking the one looked a bit brown but when I zoom in I can see it is defiantly producing.
Yeah you can definitely tell it’s putting everything it’s got into those seeds! Epic buds too, absolutely beautiful
Hey @lefthandseeds , looks like we got seeds
I’m gonna have to agree with you on that one. I think you knocked it out of the park!
Thanks brother but this all started with you. This is just a progression of all your hard work. I was quite pleasee when I zoomed in on that bud and saw those seeds bursting out. What do you think going by those pics, a couple more weeks? Of course I am looking for your best guestimate and not a specific time.
Usually I’ll do a test. Cut off a small bud on the bottom and extract the seeds. If you see a lot of partially brown seeds with green tips, those might still mature. Fully white or green seeds probably won’t mature anyway, so don’t worry about those.
Also, if you hang the whole plant and dry slowly, seeds will continue to mature a bit during that time.
Ok cool, thanks. So just chop the stock and hang the whole plant, that’s easy enough. I will take a small bud low down and see at some point. Really appreciate the guidance.
When the pods open up, color up and start to fall out on there own OR 6 weeks since the pollination, then your seeds are ripe for the picking.
I also do the “squish test” on each seed. Means litterly squish it between your fingers, IF it doesn’t break or get crushed. It’s a good seed.
Yes I think it’s right around the 5 or 6 week mark. With how long the males were around, I would say to keep the ladies going till there ain’t nothing left to give lol. Either way, that’s a ton of seed right there. No pistil went unpollinated on this one
