Paonia Purple Paralyzer seed run "CLOSED"

2 weeks max for seeds imo.
Don’t be surprised, even with optimal timing, how many duds you’ll get.
Great job Doug.

Now you got me curious, why would there be many duds? They will be coming down on Friday, well that’s the plan, as that is when I leave for holidays.

I wouldn’t worry, you’ll be fine. When you chop the whole plant and hang it before you go they will continue to ripen. Make sure you put some cardboard underneath when you hang them.

Pretty much Nature’s Way.
There’s always aborts and immature seeds no matter how you time them.
Stress too can cause duds but there’s no evidence of that from your grow. :star_struck:

Cool, thanks bud. I was just curious as it’s my first seed run is all. Hadn’t thought much about the germ rates but I guess a test when they are ready will tell the story.

I figure I can just clean the liner and hang them in the tent, should collect anything that falls. I could keep them going the week I am on holidays if I need to so not a big deal, just hoping to put it to bed. In the end it takes as long as it takes.

Thanks my friend, always room for improvement and I will continue to learn but it’s been real fun. Have learned some stuff so that’s always a good thing. Don’t know what the next adventure will be but it’s coming soon

My elders always said, when you stop learning and improving, that’s when you should be in the ground. :sunglasses: :+1:

So the top cola on the one plant was getting a bit brown looking so I decided to chop it off The rest of the plant and the other 2 are still nice and green. This is from one bud and as you can see it is a pretty good bud to seed ratio. Well I think it is, truth is I have no idea  Anyway I am thinking to get my daughter to water these for the week I am gone so they can go a bit longer or is it normal to have some green ones like that @lefthandseeds ? Here are a few other pics as well.

Oh wait wrong thread :joy:

Good job though bud, looks like you did just fine with the breeding, idk how much you sorted but it looks like a real good percentage of em are fully matured, not too many premies wasted

You’ll never get 100% brown, no big deal. If you leave them to dry out in the buds, they’ll finish out just fine. You’ve got a great ratio of brownies already. I personally don’t think leaving plants past when they’re done changing helps much, if at all. Seeds develop when the plant is actively growing.

The best way to get browner seeds is to grow longer flowering strains. A good 12+ week plant will mature seeds better than a 8 week plant.

Fantastic, thanks. I will leave those buds on a dry rack as I only did one small one. I will chop them tomorrow night and hang them upside down in the tent to dry while I am gone for the week. Good to know there should be some green ones in there, I had no idea, lol. It looks like I will have some shucking to do when I get back.

Figure to put up a list and get these to a distributor for the fall box. I am hoping to cover your original list and than add the new folk. I figure there should be plenty.
