First time this morning 1 bowl very satisfying had to remind myself to take hits lol :joy:
Not harsh at all background taste of the coffee from the herijuana
Smooth on the inhale
Smell when ground up is more industrial cleaner

Well I think I just may flipped the main tent Sunday
What do you all think

I just decided to go back to low and slow I’ve been feeding them 20 /20/20 jacks at 1/2 teaspoon per gallon , with 1/2 teaspoon of Epson salts per 5 gallons and 1/2 tablespoons of cal mag per 5 gallons this comes out to 398 ppm’s at ph of 6.3
Not going to try to push the limits like the last 2 grows
Back to slow and steady
So far the ladies look happy and sexy
No deficiencies
I would like to give the small bubble monkey 1 more week of veg but can’t have everything lol

SMALL TENT

Bubble monkey is adapting to the Octopot quite well and the roots should be at the res

Feeding the same as above plants
I’ll let her go for a bit longer then the main tent before switching flowering , at least 2 maybe 3 weeks .
Seems to be a slower growing plant like her mom in the big tent

And last but not least
The Babies

I am look a volunteer

With your low and slow, what will you feed in flower?

Hi @middleman thanks for asking

I’ll switch over to 10 /30/20 jacks , same rate on the Epson salts and no calmag Bring ppms up to 500. Weeks 3 and 4 . adding a monster boost 0/ 50/30 only in week 5 1/2 teaspoon per 5 gallon

Week 6/7 10/30/20 equal parts of 5/12/26 for a npk of 1/2/5 ish same Epson salts no calmag ppms 500 ish

Weeks 8 till finish 5/12/26 ppms at 600 each weeks cut ppms till done

Thanks for the reply.
I think before at some point you had mentioned using Micro Blast. I see you don’t have that listed.

Also, no Cal Mag. Where will they get the Calcium from? Or do they not need it at that stage?

I’m trying different things with these Octopots, and everything is great until mid-flower. I end up with some deficiency. Small spots forming on the leaves. This time they are a little worse on a couple of leaves. I thought for sure it was Calcium, but really not sure. It’s not really that bad, but I’d like to figure it out.

I basically have been using some combo of Jacks 10/30/20 and 5/12/26 with Epsom in flower. I just started adding Cal Mag and no Epsom because of the leaves, but maybe I shouldn’t be.

Anyway…thanks.

@middleman , A good idea to add calmag : )
Buuuuuuuut remember if lots of n in it , it will change the total npk ratio in Rez from what it was befor

I did run out and do need to order it’s great for some of those trace minerals I Mose likely added it back in once I get around to ordering

And damn surprised someone you mention it
Thanks

I really like the earth juice products

I was looking at there hi bix ( mainly hi sugars )
And thinking about adding

@ifish @GramTorino
What’s your thoughts

What ifish said
Too much N in the flowering stage

If needed add a small amount to correct the issue

It’s good for sugar, and also has a bunch of potash & some iron, other micros; this is great, of course, but it’s also just plain blackstrap molasses iirc. You can get it cheaper without the Earth Juice branding.

So true. I always added black strap molasses when I made teas

I may give them a try with the Octopots but not fill the res maybe just to the first level ( I’m always afraid the molasses will turn to alcohol in the res)

@Papalag , i tend to avoid anything organic in my Rez as it gets funky a lot quicker
: )

@middleman maybe maxibloom is what your after : )

That’s why I’ve hesitated to add it was great in my soil grows

@ifish So is it the plant doesn’t need the Cal/Mag at that point or to avoid like CaliMagic because of the added N?

I guess what I am asking, is it beneficial to the plant to continue the added Calcium and Magnesium if one could cut out the added Nitrogen?

They need it yes

But as you say adding lots extra n in flower is a no no

So we must find a low n to ca calmag to try and limit the extra n ( calmagic isn’t bad compared to some ) orrrrr find a better base feed for flower ie a complete 1/4/4 then add cal magic which depending how much you add will bring it to 1/3/3
Or find a good complete base feed for flower say 1/3/3 that already has ca and mag in it already ( I think maxibloom )

Gotta use imagination to get the mix

Maxibloom is expensive here , so I use a mix of 1/5/1 and 1/2/6 , to make 1/3.5/3.5 , I use similar to calmagic , this gets me close enough to target , with maybe a touch of pk too : )

Well, I have 75#’s of Jack’s!! Thinking of gypsum and Epsom. That way no added N. May try and see how it works.

Just remember alway calcium in Rez first then stir then rest of nutes : )

I’m not sure if that applies to gypsum tho , but good practice anyways : )
