neem is ok… but its not necessary in coco… you really dont have pests with coco.

Really?! In this case OG people excuse me: Im only a poor montains’ grower n dont know nothing bout indoors…But what is the biological reason of this? I know how neem works over pests, but dont knows about coco, @GrowerGoneWild
Hidroponical growers havent got pests like coco or its diferent?

@mig the coco is dried and compressed, thats how I buy it, so no bugs are in it. and I can leave the coco outside in the back of my truck so no bugs can live there.

Cultivador Asalvajado, (@GrowerGoneWild) : that means that the “good comercial packed soil” avaliable there have bugs??

Fungus gnats are fairly common in commercial mixes, the problem is the vent holes… The bags can be clean but set them next to contaminated bags, the bugs can move from bag to bag.

Compressed coco has no vent holes in the package.

I use neem more as a food for the soil. Its top notch forsure. The pest resistance is just an added bonus:)

I was under the immpression fungus gnats eat coco.

What @GrowerGoneWild said about traveling from bag to bag in the shops i agree with 100% and compressed would seem to be better.

Never had any pest in 5 years of continuous growing (from seed ) in hydro systems…
Hope it will keep as that even from now, on…

Day 19 Flower:

Been a bit since I did an update so I’ll be doing 2 back to back, I took these pics about a week ago but forgot to post them. They’re just starting to noticeably bud up at this time and gettin some good trich production already.

Day 26 Flower:

I haven’t been able to get my larger trays cleaned up because they’re pretty mucked up outside but I did add a couple more trays to give them a little more room, still pretty cramped though…

They’re all looking pretty good and I’m pretty sure all those pics are of the super lemon haze as well, she’s already starting to smell amazing!

Day 31 Flower:

I was able to get some pics before the light turned on and you can really see all the budsites now. Right around the halfway mark for a lot of them, the super lemon haze will prolly go a good 3 weeks longer then most of them though.

Day 44 Flower:

I’m right at the 6 week mark and gave my pineappple Express it’s last fertilized watering till harvest so I can start chopping some stuff down instead of all at once, not to mention about half of the pineapples are popping some hermie flowers from getting to dry on accident but the bud is still great looking but I’ll be dealing with some banana dicks. Other then that all is well and that last pic is of the gorilla glue… easily the frostiest strain of them all. I looked into making feminized seeds and it’s fairly straight forward with the silver nitrate and what not so I think I’ll be trying that with the gg4 soon cause who wouldn’t want some gorilla glue seeds, right? :joy:

Day 48 Flower:

Got in just before the light turned on and got a couple pics so you could see all the bud sites… I don’t even understand how I fit this much under these 2 lights lol.

I started watering most of the Pineapple expresses with plain ro water a couple days ago so I’ll be chopping a few starting next weekend right at the 8 week mark, I would normally let them go closer to 9 weeks but I’m going to harvest any ones with banana dicks a little earlier. Most of my strains are 9 week strains tho with the exception of the super lemon haze of course so I’m still a couple weeks out on those.

Oh ya the last pic is of my can 33 carbon filter I just bought and installed yesterday… I was hoping I could get away without one but even though my room vents to my garage I could still easily smell it outside the garage… sometimes up to 20 feet away from it too… definitely a good and bad problem to have lol :joy:

All of them just before the light clicked on

Day 59 Flower:

I started harvesting some Pineapple Express at 8-8.5 weeks that hermied a bit first and planning on doing a lot more this weekend or so. These ones purpled up a bit too cause they were directly under the light and had a good temp swing at night, some of the tangerines are purpling a little too.

These pics are all of the Pineapple Express and honestly some of the worst ones even though they look pretty lol. There’s about 8 like this and I’ll be lucky to get 1/2oz off each one… the pineapples in good shape will easily yield a 1/2oz and are much frostier.

Thanks bro, I know I could have done better but I had a lot going on besides the grow so I’m just glad it turned out as good as it did. If I watered more I bet I would have yielded more but oh well, I really shouldn’t have kept so many to flower in the first place lol. I got like 10 more I’ll be putting in there in about 1-2 weeks to keep the perpetual going too.
