Pirates of the Mediterranean

Thanks, I’ve grown the BB Leb a few times already and really liked it. I think you’ll find it a bit interesting to see what comes out, since I used one male previously for the PH/Leb cross you’re growing. These plants take on a whole new life once they’re hybridized. It’s really fun to see what happens upon “waking the dead”.

Oh man, I’m surprised there’s not more comments in here!

I totally agree on this first pictured Lebanese, just a beautiful structure. I would totally wanna breed with that.

Those Syrian’s definitely have some of the fattest pistils I’ve seen. Just a nice furry ball there ^^
The leaves look really interesting too, especially on that 2nd to last pic.

The combo of the two should turn out real nice I’d think. Are you using both Syrian phenos on the Leb’s or just one?

What I’m currently trying to do is fold in Lebanese and Syrian plants into a mix. So I’ll probably keep both and do selections from the first round I grow them. I was going to also use the reverse cross with the Syrian male, but it’s sterile, like one of the males I had from the first batch I grew, so I guess that’s not happening. :joy:

My general idea for this project is to hybridize a bunch of these lines of similar landrace heritage so that the genotype opens up. Once everything is well mixed, I’ll have some latitude to select back down for a couple generations with the attributes that I’m trying to achieve.

When I’m done, I want to use it to reign in some very long flowering sativas – like Kerala, OT Haze, Congolese, Thai… that sort of thing. But I want this strain to do some things like increase resin output, add moderate density, hopefully shorten the height and especially shorten the flowering time.

The Lebanese, Syrian, Sinai and Moroccan are what I think are mostly perfect for this. Plus they rarely produce a “downer” effect like an indica, despite beings some of the fastest landraces on the planet. Syrian has also tested high for THCV in some other grows.

Well, shit!
I’m late to the party. Again.
I even brought a bong and, believe it or not, something to smoke in it. That beanbag chair over has the perfect shape for my lard ass. Mind if I join?

This is a trait passed on the the blue hemp leb. Look closely and you’ll see a purple/orange hair. Nothing I’m trying to select for or against, just found it neat that it’s some kind of heritable trait from that line.

Edit: had to get out my macro to show it properly.

Some Syrian buds

Here’s a good close up of the Syrian coming into development. Nice fat pistils and good resin.

I noticed that lil’ darlin’ before I read your comment and said to myself, “Self! There’s a purple hair in that bud!”
Is it just the one bud or on several buds or all buds?
Cool and different tho! Mikey Likey!

They’ll probably pop up on a couple buds, but not usually more than 1-2 per bud. There’s a couple very distinguishing features from that line. Heavy sap is another one. It’s sweet and tasty… A little treat for while you trim.

Also pure blue hemp Leb is said to flower in 43 days. I found it closer to ~46-49 but still, wild stuff. These aren’t pure blue hemp lebs, so they’ll go a little longer.

Stellar Plants I love that color green. You should be proud of your work, man. There are very many who can’t even pop a seed! Very nice, indeed!

Thanks man, I appreciate it. There’s something about these lines I really love. They’re under appreciated because they aren’t stoney and strong like Afghans. But they still usually have pretty good resin, so they’re packing some kind of other cannabinoids under the hood. Fun growing for sure.

Man, those Syrian buds are cool looking. I had a weird dark hair in the top on my Sour Bubble but I haven’t looked with a scope Maybe tomorrow when lights come on. That sounds pretty neat with the 40’ish days flower on those Lebs.

Colors are coming in on the pollen sacs for the black & blue Lebanese (blue hemp leb leaning pheno). The other male is about a week behind.

That’s so pretty.

I’m getting a pretty bumper pollen yield off that boy. Heads up to anyone looking for pollen, I’ll have some to offer probably by the end of the weekend. The shorter male will probably be a week or so behind. Both will be from different phenos of my Black & Blue Lebanese. I’ll add some descriptions later.
