Ever get one like this? For $15 in fertilizer? I’m sure your style works well for you, but there is nothing easier than sitting back and watching money grow on a tree. And going Barefoot saves money on shoes LOL
I knew it was coming. Tree farming dont happen in water buckets.
Nice plant. One day ill have a yard i can do that in.
That’s a funny right there I don’t care who you are. Not growing that tree in water. Reminds me of the indo dope boyz trees…very nice indeed. I dunno on the 50% more I get that yield out of my indoor plants + or - depending on strains… To each there own I say what works for one is right for them there’s no right or wrong if it works for you
I didn’t grow that plant. My cousin did. But I hope like hell that type of talent runs in my veins!
I’m very intimidated by technology. If I tried anything other than soil I would be sure to screw it up. Sounds like you got that shit dialed in though. Absolutely, to each their own😁
My brother has been been growing in hydro since the early 80s nothing wrong with that if that’s what he’s wants to do it works for him, comparing notes over the years freom what ive found is hydro vegges faster but out come is not difference. Probably get comments on that but it is what it is, been growing in soil since the late 70s. I might try a hydro some days in veg get them to kick in off faster… I’d do coco if I had more time to water daily lol
Brother @Hydro921 does real well in hydro units he made
Running three different soils mixtures, latest is a Ed Rosenthol mix on my third run with it testing in 10 gallon smart pots
New soil will feed plants for minimum of 3 weeks
I grow indoors, so if I don’t have to use something that could already be full of pests, pathogens, and heavy metals…I don’t. Outdoor isn’t viable where I’m at anyway, we have almost no trees or cover brush. All my shit would get stolen at 4’ high.
This is my latest reading, should I go lower. What do you use to get accurate readings. (6.2) I hate these probes, don’t trust them. Soil was dry gave them about a liter of h2o. Thinking of giving them some cal-mag next watering this is the latest pics, looks like the new growth is troublesome
Thanks everyone
Not a soil grower… but I think you could get a solid ph meter like a bluelab and test the ph going in and the run off - ph coming out to get a better reading of what is happening in your root zone
Bammer 1082 wow little pricey for me at the moment, but getting a digital sounds the best way to go. Thanks
You can’t judge it until an entirely New Leaf set has grown. The set you’re looking at was already growing when you had issues. The next one should be better. I think that bottom plants already starting to look better. The one in the picture with the probe looks like a male.
I’m going have to get digital meter to get the run off
I dont use soil meter. Usually decent soil ph is set in usable range. Ph the water inputs. Bluelab is solid from what i hear but i refused to spend over $100 for a meter. Big thing is take care of which ever meter you get if you want it to last. Clean it off and dry it before closing it up. Dont bang it on things theyre sensitive. But really at this point a cheap ph meter off amazon will get your inputs right. You want inputs a little low the ph raises as it sits. Same in the soil you put in around 6.2 everything available. As it climbs certain thing go out of range but thats when you put another metered water input in. I wouldnt worry about testing the greenfields. Just watch your input liquid feed or plain water. Keep it around 6.2 youll be good to go. As upstate said it will not be immediate. The new growth is what you watch. Old damaged stuff might not repair but that new set of baby leaves tells the truth.
Bluelabs or Hanna Instruments are the only two PH pens I know are solid. Tried 2 different ones from amazon, the cheap 20 buck ones. They work for awhile, just hard to keep calibrated.
If your in the market for one, grab a cheap one then stalk amazon or online hydro stores for a sale. Got my bluelab ph and ppm combo meter for 50% off just had to wait awhile.
If you look for something cheap, reliable and no need to calibrate this could be your choice …
Thanks for advice
Amazon had the blue lab for $89 now. I paid the $112. They also have the soil for $189. I have to keep an eye on the soil as I thought it was less last week .
