Potency of Seeded Bud

Store mine in small bags, then into a film canister with oat meal on the bottom, then into another larger zip lock, then in the Fridge. Have germed seeds 10 years old this way…

It’s all relative, I’d suggest reading rc clarkes - marijuana botany

20 plus years on the freeze

Depending on condition when I get them.
Usually 90% or better

It’s my understanding that seeded bud will be as potent as its sensimilia counterpart, as long as the mother was given enough nutrition throughout flowering. I forgot where I just read it, but there were tests done and the seeded bud was as potent as the sensimilia. I’ll try to find the source and edit this.

I just wait until the pod turns yellow to golden brown. They pop right out way more easily, plus I know they’re finished.

Well this topic got fun quick :sunglasses:

I’ve only accidentally seeded plants with a herm from stupid bag seed but I never noticed any difference it still got me fcked up. Like people said just be sure to remove the seeds as they taste diiiiirty.

I agree. If you fully seed the plant or have a significant number of seeds per bud you will change the flavor and potency. If it is making seeds that is where it’s energy goes.

Sensimilla- without seeds. And the plant goes into a frenzy and produces large numbers of pistils and the calyxes swell with resin. If it the bud has fertile seeds it is going to concentrate on finishing them instead of making new pistils.

YUP…had them for like 5 years, all sorts of uses. Got them for a “humidity dome” for 2 foot tall cuts I had received…Worked great for that, works excellent for this too. I have 5 of them and they come in handy at times…

YEAH…from another site I was on. Met another who lived 200 miles north of me. We were to trade “CUT’S” .
I brought 8 beautifully fully rooted cuts and some good Bud to smoke. The other party brought 8 “branch’s” that he obviously cut off a plant hours before meeting me…YEAH!

They were at least 25 inch’s long, in a garbage bag and not in good shape. When I got home I placed them in water but they wilted…bought the BIG Zip’s to use a s dome’s. 4 made it 2 weeks later, ONLY TO FIND all were suffering form PM!!! My whole grow came down!!! HOW I lost my PRIZED cut of Momma Goji!!!
Still so stupid I take cuts every now and then.
The ones from Europe had bugs too…

To be honest, other than the Amnesia Haze and the RPP X Chemdog, all other “trades” or gifts received from “other than here” sources have been BOGUS!!! LMAO!!! I always give what I say I will, it is always what it is suppose to be and I understand the definition of a rooted cut/clone. The others I have traded with seem to be clueless…see above example.

ALL of my dealings here have been 50/50 good, like you would hope for. You, 50, ReikoX, Sebring, OleSkool, and Mr. G. have all been 100 % straight up and I do appreciate it. Seems a much more “invested and knowledgeable” crew in here, lol.
Got some seeds from another new person I met here, from Spain…when I send back to him it will be 100% good dealings. So happy with what he sent me (the Gorilla Glue 4 hunt can end now, ) I shall re pay him well.

Need more 47’s

I empathize with that, not bringing in outside clones seems to be a lesson we have to learn over and over again.

This year I was given contaminated cuts from a long established black market grow that had been running for 30 years or more. The genetics were too tempting for me to turn it down. Oregon Blueberry, one of the earliest widely circulated cuts of dj short’s blueberry, and the original northern lights from the seattle area.

They had pm and spider mites, and I nursed them to almost perfect health over 2 months in my outdoor grow. The pm was so bad that even after curing it, I don’t want to smoke these. And I have no idea what the cutting and mothers had been sprayed with in the initial grow. I ended up giving them back to the friend that brought them to me on the condition that he pollinates them with my male selections and gives me a third of the seeds.

Fortunately the rest of my outdoor grow was ok, but the mites are all over my trap plants and companion plants now. Clones are rarely worth the trouble.

Just so you KNOW…once a plant has PM…it ALWAYS HAS PM…systemic in nature.

A cut of a cut of a cut of a cut…40 cuts down…will STILL have PM!!! FACT!!!

I took Amnesia Haze loaded with MITES!!! I KNEW it was coming that way, did not care. It is so good I figured I would deal with the bugs.

I am dealing with the bugs. Stopped treating a month ago, thought they were history but nope, they are still here. Now in numbers I CAN deal with.

IF I KNOW going in it is cool…ASSHAT with the “branch’s” did not tell me(he did not know or just an idiot)
and I destroyed my whole setup. A.H. was kept separate while being treated, she is clean, they are on another plant but I have it in control .

yup, that’s why we’re preserving the rare genetics as f1 hybrids, and ending the cycle of misery with these cuttings as nature intended.

Kind of sad to take these out of circulation after they had lived for over 20 years, but necessary.

No other choice but to break the circle…it is what it is. I killed off my prized Goji Mom because she got the Pm from dickface’s “cuts”. Killed me to do it, but after a cut of a cut of a cut…20 deep, I realized it is not going anywhere and just ended her.

I got her back years later(have her now) fro someone I gifted a cut to before the PM got here…gotta love it when a plan works out…

I’ve lost some beauties by accepting clones too. I feel your pain . I don’t take cuttings in any more. :v:
