Potsy's Garden of Weed

I made a trip to the Brew and grow shop by my parents. I picked up a bag of Roots organic soil. Original blend. I like that it had a humus-rich mix.
I chose it over the fox farm and the nectar of the gods soil. It seemed to have a better mix than nectar of the gods.
But of course had the fox farm soils. I like them but it’s easier for me to get them it seems.

In general, I wasn’t super impressed by the shop. I rather maybe it was just the people running it.

Question: can you still find seeds in your weed if it’s from a female plant that has not been pollinated? I was under the impression that you can still find the occasional seed.

They were selling CBD for $7 a gram. It’s cheaper than over by me. I asked him if he ever finds the occasional seed. He told me that these were growing in a controlled environment and won’t have seeds.

I told him I understood about males versus females and how the seeds are created. But from my experience, I have still found seeds in product. Not often. I’m just more annoyed that he treated me like an idiot.

I suppose I had my victory though. Another woman came in. She was asking how to inoculate pea seeds. I don’t know why, he clearly had no fucking clue what she was talking about… I think he just doesn’t listen very well. But anyways I listen to the answers he was giving and I tried so hard not to laugh.

He was trying to say that she needs to cut into the shell. I’m over here thinking what the fuck is he on about. That has nothing to do with inoculating and you don’t really need to do that with peas. For goodness sake. The whole time he’s acting like he knows exactly what he’s talking about.

I chimed in. His dumbass offended me with the whole CBD seeds thing.

I said that he was referring to scarfication or stratification. Totally unnecessary. A couple of drops of hydrogen peroxide is usually how I inoculate.

She was a bit surprised. and she said something about how she missed her plants with hydrogen peroxide diluted. Apparently she’s been having issues with bugs.

From there I told her to grab some of the diatomaceous earth. I tried to do my best to explain why it’s so damn good but no one ever talks about it. The dude knew about it but he didn’t really seem to know too much about it. I was yammering on about the exoskeletons, calcium, and silica. Oh good stuff.

We went back and forth a little bit. Thunder dude was not feeling my jam. and he tried to say that there wasn’t calcium in it.

The only reason I bought stuff there that’s because it was there. Otherwise I would have just left and gone somewhere else. I hate Bozo’s that belittle people. Or rather douchebags who are close-minded and don’t think women know anything.

Blah vent sesh over.

@DiggySoze my hero.

Brah sent over some Lebanese seeds.

Brilliant. Amazing. Grateful

I’ve already popped 11 into some water to get hydrated. I’m going to plant a couple outside as well as sprinkle a couple of random people with seeds started.

My original idea was to repopulate the corn field behind me with you got it cannabis. Now that seems like a dandy idea. But probably not the wisest.

We have a “sprinkle” group in the area. I was thinking it would be cool to give people plants already started.

A sprinkle group is a Facebook group. Dominantly women. Folks who like to go to random people’s houses and leave (sprinkle) random gifts of kindness. Like a bottle of wine, ice cream, joints, whatever the hell you want to put in your little goodie bag that you drop off.

My thought process was I would like real life friends. It would be cool to have more people over by me growing cannabis. Things to talk about. Growing tips. Just creating a community of like-minded individuals (like here!) But less virtual.

I cannot wait.

It’s been a roller-coaster week. On Monday I was assaulted by a crazy person. All in the local grocery store parking lot as I sat my car with my giant Irish wolfhound service dog. She literally open up my car door and punched me in the face.
So that in itself is fuck me up this past week. I’ve been having more panic attacks and it’s difficult for me just to leave the house.
Between the heat and excessive stress, I’m not able to function at work. I deliver pizzas. I’ve been getting dizzy and generally not able to process things. Thank goodness I didn’t get many hours this week. Just so I can recover to get back to some sort of normalcy.
But wait there’s more, last night I got a call from my mom. My cousin who is about 32 is in the hospital. She had a heart attack and was not responding. I guess that’s what a lot of drugs will do to you. She’s currently

So yeah, people like this make it so I can actually fucking breathe. I don’t feel as as so alone.

Jesus has been flowering since May 26th I think.

And here we have pictures of Belle and David.

Is it just me or does it look like Belle and David don’t look as good as Jesus. I don’t really know what I did so differently.

I suspect it was the magnesium. Jesus constantly was showing a lot of red so I would give her a lot of Epsom salt. Also I’m fairly certain I did not give Bell & David mushroom compost.

Garden updates. Everyone’s currently alive.

I’ve been noticing a few of jesus’s buds are changing to a more coppery color. What does that mean?

I started a few seeds to participate in a grow competition at rollitup.Com

Yah! We just upgraded our phones. No more cracked screen. Picture should be significantly better now from now on out.

A my beautiful potheads. I don’t really know what’s going on with this plant.

We are in day 25 or something of flowering for them. What can I do to ensure best quality buds from here on out.

Should I clear out some of the buds from bell?
Should I Pinch the Burned junk from off of David?

Jesus looks great in sparkles.
She makes me feel like a proud mama. What do you guys think? Is she on the right track if she is basically halfway through flowering? What should I be doing next?

Looks a lot like overfeeding to me, or a hot environment. What are the temperatures in your growing space?

I’ve had some experience with overfeeding, I leave the leaves alone. Once you fix whatever is affecting them, those leaves will recover whatever they can and still do their job, even at a reduced capacity. If the plant doesn’t want them, it’ll get rid of them.

Are you talking about Jesus or the ladies on the pink thing?

I’ve flushed 24L within the last week I believe. It had only gotten worse. The general temperature in that Room is set 5 the heater at to 72゚. If at any point the temperature exceeds 72゚, the heater will automatically turn off. Due to it being in the basement it rarely exceeds. However I do need to get air flow going across the canopy.

I don’t have the fans going right now because I’m an idiot and forgot to plug them in when I rearranged to somethings.

And then I have the Room humidity machine is set at 50%.

They are all growing in the same mix. I amended my gals and did all of them fairly similar.

What’s the PH in your soil, water and what’s the ppm (parts per million) in your feed and what’s the PH in your feed. What’s the runoff PH when you flush? Ive been watching.
Let it get cold when you turn the lights off. Dont forget to turn your fans on when you turn the lights off.
Any other problems or questions let me know.
Also…Location of the thermostat would good to know that way I know your getting the correct over-all room temp.
Also watering with slightly colder water should send positive flowering signals into your buds.
And water source would be good to know.

I was referring specifically to David in the video :grinning:

It definitely sounds like you have some kind of soil pH/over feeding thing going on. I’ve found some plants are lighter feeders than others, and require different nutrition levels.

I’m a hydro person so I can’t really help you specifically, my experience with soil was one bad grow, and a few cups I have going on right now as experiments!

Awesome sauce! You’re absolutely den right on though. Some strains want different things. Fussy little foker’s aren’t they

Yah… sorry brah unfortunately I don’t have one of those pens. I have a pH kit with all those strips and shit. I’ve just been so damn lazy. I need to get some more timers. I’m using the Google home things though. As to where the thermostat is, I have a video I’ll show you where it is in proximity. The heater is on the opposite side of the grow tent room. Water source, faucet. We have a bored well that we use.

I’ve never heard anything about colder water affecting signals to the buds. That is something I would definitely like to dive in and learn more.

I wouldnt let my temps go above 65 at night. When the lights come on water with 60 degree water (when you do need to water as you shouldn’t have to water as often as you go further into flowering). Then let the room warm up after you water (slowly) You’ll develop higher level of terpenes and the colder temps will preserve the terps as well. Heat stress will make them stink but the cold temps will preserve them. Last two weeks of flowering i don’t like the room temp higher then 68, dryer air conditions as well.

Any ideas on what I should do? I’m using the heater that has a sensor. It just says when to turn off if it reaches that temperature you know. But I don’t have a way to change it for a certain time frame. It almost seems as though I should set it at a regular lower temp

Hook a light timer to it and dial it in to the room conditions?

For some reason I was thinking that once I turn it off I have to reset it each time it turns back on. But realistically if the damn thing is going 24/7 then it’s not really necessary. It’s going to just keep on going. Damn you one more thing to buy! Probably they’re cheap it’s just obnoxious because but it’s not where I wanted to spend my money

Yikes! The fungus are among us. I don’t know what I should do about this mushroom? There are others as well.
