If you can’t find a colony, I’ll share.
Add potassium bicarbonate to your list.

oo and bleach as well! It was proven ineffective, but I wonder why. I never checked.
Also, for giggles I should trip on over to the other farms in this area and check if they have the parasite. I know at least one farm here has the squash infesting type, and the farm up at the lake is free from mildew.
The farm at the lake was started 2 years ago and the farm down the road is an old one. Someone else bought it recently and mildew was spotted there. I’ll ask a few questions. How many years has the parasite been attacking. What plants does it grow on. Can I have a sample, and do you want to wipe it out? heh heh
I wonder how strong of a peroxide solution I should use? I had mixed my own solution up using water and 33% peroxide when I tried to kill the mildew. My idea was that I could use hydrogen peroxide to clean up any microbes without harming the plant. So I sprayed… and wiped… and cleaned. The strange part was, you could still see the mildew with the human eye after I had bathed the plants. I would have personally put money on bleach and peroxide killing shit. Not any more though. The microscopic tests with those solutions at the ratios recommended, failed to kill, it just made things agitated.
I made a series of videos.
I’ve used that percentage for other things, and can’t believe it wouldn’t fry a plant… it fried me
naw I diluted it down to like 4%, if you let the 33% sit on your skin… ouch!
Don’t do it Joe, it’s never that bad…
Here are some decomposition photos. The round spheres look the same as when a clone gets a mushy stalk and starts to decompose.
I assume I’m supposed to leave the residue on the leaves? if so that’ll take some getting use to.
I sprayed my plants last night and hope this works. I’ve been battling this crap since I adopted a couple clones a few months ago. The clones also came with mites that infected everything. The only thing that got rid of the mites was to kill everything, deep clean and start over. The mildew did not leave. I must have had plant material somewhere or a crevice that I missed.
yep the residue is a good thing. It’ll definitely work! IF you don’t think you got it all in one spray, then definitely do two of them 2 weeks apart to make sure it’s good and dead.
im late to the party… but has anyone tried milk? for the powdery mildew… i got this from another 420 site i know i use milk on my vegatables… but figured i would hunt down for the canabis use of milk…
It may seem strange, but many growers swear by a milk spray to combat powdery mildew. The advantage of this treatment is that it is 100% natural, making it attractive to organic cannabis producers. Combine milk in a 2:3 ratio with water and apply for 10 consecutive days.
Yah the thing about milk is, that it’s sulfur based, but not very strong. Milk contains, I think I remember, two sulfur based amino acids.
I think that also has to work with the sun if I’m not mistaken. I used a product called Furminator last season, outdoor, and it worked fine. Until fall when we had a stretch of cloudy, rainy days and the PM came back. Milk would be the same.
lol I looked up furminator… Then realized it was spelled ferminator!
Yes…sorry.
I’m still waiting for a colony to make it’s appearance. It’s so cold here still got down to -5C the other night! No plants growing yet that are vulnerable to mildew. I can’t wait to start torturing mildew colonies! I suspect mildew will be present on the clover and on the comfrey. I’ll do the thing where I rub some mildew colonies on my cannabis plants to show the mildew is definitely host-specific.
Just wanted to update and say since my sulfur spray(s?) I haven’t had any PM whatsoever, room conditions have not changed at all so I’m gonna say sulfur is de way
Using fresh LABS without the brown sugar or molasses accomplishes the same task.
IMHO & Experience.
