If you want to turn your plants purple, an old growers trick, wait until flower is underway, then feed them with a cranked up phosphorus. 15-30-15 or even 10-50-10. You’ll get your purple, no question. Don’t overdo it. Hit em once, then again in 10 days or so. Then go back down to a more even level. Whatever you usually use. Once the phosphorus kicks in the purple, it won’t go away.

man i love this thread. endless scrolling of immaculate buds. seems like general concensus is that the purp hues are easier outdoors? i know some strains its very predictable / clearly genetic while for others it seems more environmental, potentially tied to a winter cold snap. indoors ive played around getting strains to properly express that color by icing the soil surface with some success but it only works on some strains. hopefully someday i find a cut that reliably purps up without me having to dump a chest freezer of ice on her

My temps indoor at night 65 to 75 during day 78 to 88. I dont cool my room its natural temp fluctuations i get purples from week 2 or 3 of flower if its a true purple plant i dont ever force my plants to show purple i let them develop how they want to develop in order to get the best from that strain I don’t see a need for cold stress indoor

A strain I’ve been working on called Grimace. (Mac 1 x Dosido) x Purple Mex Heirloom.
I took the Mac1 x Dosido to = McD’s then the Purple Mex Heirloom colored it purple. Looks like Grimace from the 70’s @ McDonalds. It has nothing to do with the other strain called Grimace by Archive seeds.
