Since maxing out usable space in the few tents I have, I’m now using a small greenhouse to expand to another seed makin’ station. In order to make room in the small space, I’ve topped all plants and plugged them to guarantee their continued life cycle. Will upload fresh pics tomorrow
I’ve setup a covering to block out light. The top will be rolled open in the morning & closed in the evening each day. Using an LED and a couple CFLs to supplement light for the second half of the day as it’s in a shaded area and receives sunlight only in the morning. Don’t mind the tape, it was my first time! Lol. It seems successful enough for now, hoping it can withstand the winds. Any tips would be helpful and appreciated!
For anyone wondering if these genetics have had intersex issues, it was only the Thin Mint cross that had sacs on lower nodes when I flipped from seed, about 23 days in, no nanners. Clones have produced flowers without pollen sacs. I’ve provided under canopy lighting to help stimulate more growth.
Greetings OG, hope everyone is having a good one so far. Here’s a couple pics of 2 seeded plants on day 35. Dusted with Rainbow Beltz fem pollen, zesty lime & Zkittles flavor.
A couple/few more weeks left in the 2*4 for seeded plants to finish. I had taken a short trip and came back to see one of the grape fog plants had some stressed leaves, assuming plants weren’t watered enough/in time.
Seeds are still maturing, saw mostly gray, some green and a couple brown. Last day of pollination was around May 1st. They were flipped to 12/12 on April 3 making them 8 weeks or 56 days today.
The 5*5 plants were harvested Monday at day 57 since flipping them to 12/12. Hanging in the tent to dry. Slowly dropping humidity with ACI 69 pro controller, a great help to maintaining environment parameters. Highly recommend getting/using ACI environment controllers if using a tent setup…
Thanks @FrostyFellow! I’ve been toking on Cereal Milk x Rainbow Beltz (from the first run) lately. It’s been super tasty, bright “tropical” flavor.
Purple Jelly (Thin Mints x Jealousy) x Rainbow Beltz has been a strong/stoney smoke. Definitely has the cookie dough flavor but with an added fruity flavor.
Banana OG x LCG has been the frostiest plants, trichomes all over the bags they’re in. I haven’t got the chance to fully enjoy them yet, the others have been taking up my attention.
Each plant came out a lil different. Will follow up with individual photos of each and reports when this run is dry.
Wanted to update the thread with the greenhouse progress. It’s been pretty much hands off besides watering (once every 3-5 days) and opening the top for sun light in the morning and rolling it back up in the evening. I’ve supercropped several branches, they keep getting taller lol. Supplemental lights are on 12/12 with the daylight.
Yesterday I added the under canopy bars and today checked the gh and temps were sitting at 101° with high humidity, plants looked fine. Although, I did turn off the bars as they create a lot of residual heat. Anyone have greenhouse experience willing to share advice? I’ve talked to one guy, says his hoop-houses reached 110°f on a usual basis during summer. Pretty wild…
Once the 5*5 tent is finished drying, I’ll transfer the plants over and get them in a trellis net (after cleaning them up) and finish out their life/pollination cycle in there. Today is day 25 since flipping to flower.
A lil update on the grow… looks like I won’t be pollinating these plants this round, instead will just let em grow as sensimilla plants. They’re on their 6th week of flower already and have really been hands off: no training, defoliation, trellis net or trimming lowers. Just letting em be. Has been a real lazy grow as I’ve been focusing on other thangs in life. Hope everyone is doing well and having a good one! Peace
Definitely not enough time for seeds to have formed (I think, lol) but have bigger priorities currently.
Chopped, labeled and hung on hangers yesterday 7/18 @ 73 days since flip, 30 days since pollinating. Not expecting many seeds or tasty flower this tester run.
It was actually a bit of a last minute decision to run & pollinate these clones. They did have some mite signs/damage either from bringing in from outdoor greenhouse OR from facility and not doing a good job spraying/soaking (IPM) when bringing them home. Either way, looking forward to cleaning up and breaking everything down for a short intermission. Will be back, folks!
A BIG THANKS to everyone who’s joined, participated and interacted with me. I’ve got seeds (fem/reg) available if you’re interested. HMU for a list and I’ll send it your way. Thanks and wish you all the best!
