Question for the breeders here

What strain from the 420 fastbuds catalog do you think would make the best cross with G13 labs Froyo Auto Fem Pollen?

I know this is kinda a subjective question, just curious what everyones thoughts are, I am about to cross it with 420 fast buds crystal meth auto, got me thinkin what might make the best cross from them.

I grew quite a few from FB that they sent me a couple years ago, and the best one was the first one: LSD-25. The smell and high were incredible. As for if it’d be good to cross with, I don’t know.

The genetics are quite inbred and narrow with Sherb GSC. I suggest using something that aren’t kush, chem or cookies. You should look for genetics that is as far away from cookies. That would have the most likelyhood of giving you something outstanding.

My suggestion are, LSD-25, Green Crack, Mexican Airlines and Blue Dream.

Is there something wrong with Sherb GSC that I am missing or do you just not like it personally? I have had GSC and thought it was a really nice smoke, so im confused? Or is it due to the level of inbreeding? Sorry Im a why guy, I have to know the reasoning behind things lol no offense intended.

Well since you asked I don’t prefer GSC myself. But I deeply understand that each to their own.

Sherb and GSC are pretty much the same from a genetical standpoint. That means that a crossing to either of the parents of GSC or outcrosses of GSC will end up in a continued inbred state of the same kind. Thus giving you more GSC seeds. A cookie cross will not be the best outcross, because it doesn’t introduce enough “new” genetic data to the outcross.

As I understood it you are asking us for advise to make you the best outcross from fastbuds library with your pollen. So my answer was not based upon my like or dislike of cookie, but rather a guide to improve upon it.

Ok cool thank you for the explination, I have the ones you suggested carted up.

My opinion is to grow out packs and make your own decisions. Only you know what you like and want from a strain. If you don’t care then any will do. Selection and working the line are the key.

I second what Lonely said. There’s a lot of info out there about it but I personally would try to make sure that only one parent carries GSC in one form or another. There’s a boatload of inbred cookies or “cuts” that were renamed that are continuously being bred with each other these days. They don’t really produce novel or interesting offspring when bred with each other in my opinion, it’s all just more of the same. Using GSC as a building block is definitely okay (and probably a good idea in a lot of cases) when the final product steps away from it and has a wider spectrum of genetic diversity. To each their own though! If that’s just your jam and you wanna make another gelato sherb gmo cake runtz have a crack at it!

I am not what you call a Connasiour, I am more the if its weed, it gets me high, it reduces my pain, I am really not picky, the only one i can say I hated the taste of was Super Sour Diesel, but that was also a Live resin cart and not flower, so I might actually like the flower.

If that’s the case then just grow with the flow dude! :call_me_hand:

Well, your putting yourself in a box to begin with. Just a strain. Pick a couple and run them and see what you get. Like everyone is saying, make sure there are different genetics. So there’s no bottle necks or you will be only limited to what that genepool offers. Which once again puts you in a box.

I do, but I also know, yall know A LOT more about this than I do, and I do, at least want to make strong good weed that does the trick. Mostly for pain and sleep if im bein 100% honest.

Pain and sleep, look for Afghani lineage imo

Afgani froyo… hmmmm

It’s your work, but continue working it and eventually you can lock down certain traits that will repeat in its offspring.

My opinion? --anything Gorilla. It’s their flagship that apparently adds oomph to all the crosses.

I’m not a breeder here, but I did stay at A Holiday Inn once :grinning:
