ROFLMAO Ok that was fuckin funny

Side bar question I am hoping you or someone else can answer. I am tryin to lower the cost of this tent set up, so that I can get some new genetics and do the other stuff I need to instead of blowing the full amount I get on the tent.

The tent is a 4x4, IF I get a 200w led unit that has IR and UV built in, and I run that WITH 4 of these bulbs do you think it would be enough light output for a 4x4 tent? They are SUPPOSE to be equivilent to a 150 bulb, and I would be removing the Opaque plastic Cover so they would be Brighter.

Don’t do it. Won’t be enough light and will cost more. What brand leds are you looking at?

Buy a light now and save … save a little and buy a second light. These are amazing little lights… great price. HLG FR lights comes with a dimmable ballast. Top of the line lights at a fair entry price. You can add the second light later when you can afford it.

Also there warranty is second to none… call them up they answer. Made in the USA.

Its not a Top brand, but it does have really good ratings. I could swing another off brand 500w Led instead of this one that would be 159.99 But that would not really leave me a lot of money for new genetics or anything else for that matter. That light is the second Link.

My light in my tent now is a 400w Off brand light, and it works great so im not really hung up on “top of the line name brands” I do have a 150w Mars Hydro, but that is going in the 2x2 tent im setting up for and auto flower Males that pop up from my auto reg seeds so i can harvest the pollen.

Go with that light @BTYGMO just linked. It’s high quality and will last. Save up for another and then you ll be good but you ll be more than satisfied with that light than you will those you listed.

wish I could, but i cant spend that much on a light and get the rest of what i need to set up a 4x4 tent if im being 100% honest. I dont work due to my health issues, so “saving up” is impossible, I am being given some money is the only reason I will be able to do this at all. Wouldnt that light NOT be enough for a 4x4, its only 260w, dont I need at least 500w for a 4x4 for all stages of growth?

I have hlgs and 2 different brand lights. I can honestly say the hlgs outperform the others. Is it by much, no but they do. If your not scared to go with not top the line check out some grows here with some of the light give aways and stuff. Research is your best friend

What makes you think you need 500 watts?

I googled it and found this, i was off tho it says the minium is 400w not 500w.

" To maximise the potential yield from the space you need LED grow light wattage of about 400 to 600 watts of high efficiency LED lighting"

I figured 500w would be right in the middle.

So What is the lowest i can go without having to constantly move the light up and down? I basically want to put the light at the top of the tent, crank it all the way up and never move it from seedling to flower. lol

You have other factors that play a part in what light you need. Spectrum, light spread, par readings are just to name a few

That’s what I run… The heat reduction And efficiency Basically pay for itself every 30 days.

these lights are dimmed to 60 percent so you could see how the electric bill offsets the light cost qickly.

in what size tent tho?

I have Fibro and ADHD, so the less I have to mess with something, the less likely I am to totally give up on the hobby and do something else. I Have an auto watering set up in my current tent so I dont really even have to open the tent more than once a week to see if i need to refil the bags. I like to make things as easy on me as possible so I dont lose intreast or increase my pain level more than I have to. I swear im not tryin to be difficult, I am just tryin to work within the genetic hand I was dealt.

Oh I looked at their site and it says this light is out of stock now.

It’s not a tent but it’s 2 1/2 x 4 1/2
One light would cover the area. However 2 lights spread out at lower wattages gives a better canopy coverage. Save on the electric bill that will easily cost more than the light in short order. The bigger thing you need to realize is the heat the cheaper lights generate will cost far more to solve that problem immediately. These are the lowest temp lights you’re going to find at this price point. If you’re gonna add heat at a high-level, you need to figure out a way to vent that heat.

I would call them tomorrow. They have made this deal for me multiple times. Great people they may even offer something else from there bag of tricks. They have made custom lights for me out of there kits to meet that listed price. I think they still have the kits listed I’ll check.
