I see regs of candyland, cali o etc are they just crossing the parents of the clone? Fems i get they just hide the “this is an s1 results vary” part in the name

Crosses. Not necessarily a bad thing but not as advertised.
Gotta watch out for strains sold as one name when they’re actually crosses. I think it’s usually the bulk/white label companies doing this but sometimes there are small companies who try to pull a fast one.
I’ve seen this happen in my state med dispo. Recently I picked up some Cheetah P and when I read the name on the jar it said “Cheetah P - Cheetah P x Strawberry Shortcake” in small print.

Cali O seeds were one of the foundations of Dutch Passion as a seed company (allegedly). While there’s a known Cali O clone, it’s hard to call it a clone only at this point.
