Like that shirt.
@ReikoX Iâve seen in other threads you posting about dealing w thrips- been researching what I need to do bc I found a small outbreak on my flowers
How do you deal w them in your no till system? Iâve seen some damage on the cover crop so Iâm going to need to chop and dispose of that, but do they persist in the soil? Do you end up having to replace your beds or do the predators kind of keep them in check? I released my worms into my veggie garden outside bc I was neglecting them so kind of suspect 10 months of not using fresh castings has probably decreased my soil life/activity in regards to predators.
Probably gonna bite the bullet and scrap the 3 week old flowers and focus on making sure my veg plants get cleanâŚlooking for some pointers tho from other no tillers bc Iâm sure re-using soil adds a layer of complexity to all of thisâŚ
If you go to about post #187~ He dealt with this issue.
I read this whole thread
I found thrips fairly easy to deal with. Remove your cover crop as you already know, and I just sprayed the plants and soil with safers end all every 3 days at lights out for 21 days.
@ReikoX Hi man, just been catching up on your thread as you may have noticed lol. Looking for info on your far red lights and how much UVA and UVB they contain, the UVB more. I am looking for something that creates UVB with the spectrum between 290â315 nm. Its not for plants but for me and the wife, to make vit D3 during the winter months here.
They are fairly easy to get rid of with BTK or spinosad. Be careful with the spinosad in flowering, it can turn into cyanide when combusted
Most thrips spend part of their life cycle in the soil so mites, nematodes, and rove beetles take care of those for me.
@Shadey, my UVA comes from the exotic boards and is in the spectrum range of 390-400 nm.
Cheers man, a bit high for my needs, I guess I will have to go and see what Digikey can offer me to build one
@Shadey @ReikoX thanks guys, I feel a bit better about the situation now. Doesnât seem like its gotten too bad yet.
Do some trading? @ReikoX shirts for trade. You got everyone. Lol
How is the deathstar plant going? I never seen the finish.
