Something more like these

You get one start to finish looking like that. I’ll be paying close attention. Im getting really close to the wanting to have fun with a few plants!

This sounds like fun😁 I’ve wanted a bonsai for awhile now

Finally chopped down the Ghost Rose x Poison Devil at just over 10 weeks. They smell fantastic and sure had a pretty fade. I put them in the drying tent. I’m expecting a couple of ounces.

With the GRxCD harvested, I needed to get the JLO F2 seedlings out of the drying tent. I mixed up some Jack’s 321 and transplanted them into their treepots. One didn’t come up, when I searched for the seed, nothing was found. I replaced it.

Now on to the cannabonsai project. After soaking for about 24 hours I planted the seedling into a shallow sour cream container and put it under the clone dome.

I took my pot and filled about 1/3 of it with lava rock and pumice. This is to help prevent root rot.

I filled the remainder of the pot with a mix of coco and perlite. I sprayed the soil lightly with some Jack’s 321 and placed my rock in the middle.

OK, I’ll bite. What is the rock for?

Ok I’ll bite! I think the rock in the middle is to form the roots around

Yep, the point is to get the roots to grow over the rock.

I have a good friend in Little Rock Arkansas who has an old time nursery. He has been doing Bonsai for at least 20 yrs that I have known him always thought it fascinating. There is a definite art to it. The pot used, the landscape even the size, shape and texture of the rock(s) all add to it. Amazing when done correctly.

Got a few clones that are rooting. One Green Crack and one Cherry Tart are definitely ready to be transplanted. And two Skywalker Kush have the start of roots.

And the cannabonsai project is moving forward. I hadn’t seen any activity from the plant, so I went digging and gently helped the shell of it’s head. The cotyledon are green and pointing upward a day later.

So I’ve been thinking about adding CO2 to my grow after looking at this chart. Anyone running CO2 want to share their setup with me?

I use random Co2 application and always see a difference, the plant stores c02 everywhere it can. The element of danger that is added and number of things that can go wrong mechanically goes up dramatically, please be careful my friend.

Do you have any equipment to measure the CO2? How long does it last? I have a 20lb bottle of CO2, the controller and solenoid are another $350 give or take. In theory the yield increase shoud justify the costs.

I’ve considered using co2 but worried I’d hurt myself lol I’m accident prone

Thats why I would use the bottle and not a burner.

Glad I’m not the only one

I’d consider a burner in the long run way cheaper and more convenient then running to refill bottles.

And if your room’s not completely sealed it doesn’t take long for the c02 levels to drop

Ive got a buddy that runs bottles and he’s getting approximately 12 - 12 hr shifts out of a tank but his room isn’t totally sealed injecting approx 1300 ppm while the lights are on .
