Resimax's Indoor Garden #1

This tent is being converted into another one this week. I’m going to grow Zamnesia’s Granddaddy Purple. Here we are on day 3 from sowing an un-pre-soaked seed directly into the soil. A fast start!

Change of plans: this plant, Granddaddy Purple is going to be vegged out long to be nice and strong to be a mom for my upcoming breeding project.

Here we are on day 5. Letting her go at least 6 weeks, probably longer, before the first cuttings (besides a topping or two). No, it’s not raining in my tent. I just gave her a foliar spray so she can give those roots some energy.

Granddaddy Purple (Zamnesia)
Week 2

I transplanted her into a #3 nursery pot (3 trade gallons, or 2.6 US gallons).

Week 3

We topped her, and she’s starting to fill out nice.

Granddaddy Purple (Zamnesia)
Week 4

She really stretched and bushed out after last week’s topping. Some larger fan leaves are telling me she needs more calcium, but nothing to be worried about. She has a fairly wide internodal distance. I may start training her soon if she doesn’t tame herself. In a couple more weeks we’ll take some cuttings in any case.

Ok, so I transplanted her into my 45-gallon no-till bed. We’ll let her fill out the trellis for a while and then flip her, and impregnate her with some pollen I’ve been saving.

I flipped her about a week ago. She’s filling out the trellis pretty well now with an evident stretch underway. Soon, we shall pollinate her.

She’s still stretching like crazy, and I keep tucking her in. We now see the first signs of buds today, 8 days after flipping. I did a bit more lollipopping of lower foliage and removal of suckers. We’ll do another round of that in a week or so and call it good. In about 2 weeks, we’ll pollinate her with some special pollen from @9mag - more details when the time comes

That’s a happy plant my dude! Lookin’ forward to some seeds for ya, let’s hope that pollen still gets down :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Unfortunately, this grow is now over, and my breeding project set back a few months. This is the second time in 21 years that a feminized seed turned out to be a full blown male. 2 weeks after the flip today, and admittedly, I haven’t been checking out her flowers until today:

We’ll have to start something new after cleaning this tent out. TBD

Thanks, yeah it really was. Almost everything I grow out in my large raised bed ends up turning out great. I’ll use it again for the next one…no worries.

I try to keep everything very clean. My first two years of growing indoor was nothing but mold, even with the humidity being optimal. I don’t take any chances anymore
