This is a great thread. I had tried in the past but was unsuccessful. I wasnt sure if it was possible but I guess so. Do you need bright light to revege or could a dim red light work? Im assuming you are just stopping the flowering enzyme ( phytochrome) ?
Definitely got your answer , I’m glad you posted this @AussieCanna22 as it’s definitely a great option for checking males. My mentor has been doing this as long as I can remember and was my introduction to revegging I’ve just never had to do it myself yet as I just give any males that check the boxes to him to look for trichomes , see the final nose and collect. If you can utilize a whole tent like @HolyAngel does you can collect so much pollen it’s insane from some plants, most in fact.
Dim light definitely works , but so does relatively bright. my mentor runs his under old ass t5’s still and they are like 18-24” away too and his brother just tosses them in a corner, way away from direct light he doesn’t clone, just reveg’s eveything he loves
I found that it helps them to get back to veg if all balls get removed as soon as they show up and are big enough to be grabbed. So have no mercy for pollen sacs!
You could also clone it preemptively instead of waiting for a reveg.
Yeah this can definitely be helpful in the more stubborn males. I had an 89nl5 male for awhile that I had to do that on. Took like 6 weeks or so and then he would revert fully to veg.
