Well here’s a like! So it wasn’t a waste of your time
Customer service is brutal, is super draining, and people reach breaking points. It’s gotta be tough on breeders who don’t have the resources/team around them to handle stuff like this. I remember the Gas Reaper guy basically tanked his whole company with a poor CS interaction. He obviously went way way further and broke some serious unwritten rules, but I think it came from
the same place.
Personally, I worked in restaurants for a while and think “the customer is always right” is one of the worst things about american culture. Customers are fucking terrible
The guy was busy, stressed, and someone complaining over free stuff just put him
over the edge. Sucks for everyone involved.
OP you were a little sensitive and a little tattle-taley and the guy flipped on you. Two wrongs make a wrong in my opinion. Moving forwards I’d try to take some positives out of this interaction and leave with a big lesson - nobody likes a tattle tale. Nobody likes it when someone goes to teacher. My wife watches “The Bachelor” romance competition tv shows, and every season someone from the big group narcs to the main character about what another big group member did or said. The narc never ever wins the show.
Here’s the thing: I don’t need his products if he’s a jerk. I’ve got something like 500 packs, so he was acting like I was thirsty when I’m Immortan Joe. I didn’t expect him to like it, I expected him to exist in the reality where people will and should tell others about their negative customer experiences.
Then there is literally no issue.
Problem solved!
This post says it all to me. The guy is an arrogant, angry, entitled, lazy PRICK!
“Thank you for your patience”
Anytime my manz, but stop sending me dick pics. Capiche
Not great customer service and though I don’t sell seeds or really sell anything at all, it is a good reminder to always give people a timeline for when you’re going to do something, and try to make that timeline later than you think it will actually be. Had he done that there would have been no frustration on your part and no frustration on his. It does take some humility as well to own up to being slow about something, had he done that I imagine you’d be a happy camper right now. I don’t blame you for posting about it after emailing him multiple times, and from his perspective he was probably super busy the whole time and was wondering why you weren’t being patient, but again had he told you how busy he was, well there’d be no problem.
Though a horrible experience indeed. After continuing to read along, I think it has now been taken way to personal. We’re grateful for the information you’ve shared in this discussion. But, can we move on? I’d like to perhaps hear other stories.
I’m not really impressed by the guy’s stuff anyway, but seeing him act like that seals the deal that I’d never do biz with him. Even if he’s busy, that’s just not cool.
Humble, kind, helpful breeders with integrity? That’s where my money goes. All day.
Classic bait and switch… I’d have been more than sore. And alot more insistent…
Free seeds are one thing, but taking money and not delivering is like a shitty blind date!
Hope this never happens to me or I will front them out by by name so the next person doesn’t get f’ d.
The “oh yah I was out” was/is the wrong answer.
@Worcestershirefarms did that to me with the azad. Just seemed to have a huge chip on his shoulder, figured it was a lost cause.
@Cbizzle was that worcestire farms / diggysoze as well?
He has been banned for that.
Please keep in mind that no one should be selling seeds here unless they are a site sponsor.
The only exception is occasionally selling a breeder pack from your collection, in the appropriate moderated seed trading category.
For homemade seeds it is acceptable to request to be reimbursed for actual shipping costs with no additional cost. no one should be charging money for their seeds.
No one should be selling seeds unless they have a sponsorship. If you see people violating these rules, flag them.
And remember, if it is necessary, you can flag a post in private messages if you need assistance from the @moderators.
I never got the azad either. Sad. Sorry to hear @Kyumonryu @Cbizzle
total bummer, I heard great things about his azad and was considering picking some up myself. Looks like I wont be visiting any of his pages anytime soon
That’s very kind of you, but I already found some, so please don’t put yourself out. I appreciate the offer though!
Honestly I only posted about it because I didn’t know others had been hit by the same move until today. I tend to agree with you about letting it go. Plus the pattern of behaviour has already been ended so its moot.
A good friend of mine, an engineer, once brought an entire board room to its knees with laughter after stating simply, quietly, and truthfully, “Customers are assholes with money…”.
Letting go is important, as is warning others. I think you can try to let go of the emotional attachment while also ensuring the group is safe from scammers and cheats.
Yeah it’s hard to deal with people… but if it’s your job and you’re actually getting paid to do so… despite having a promotion… you grin & bear the customer’s faults. The customer may not always be right… but you still should value their business and interest in your product. The reason why this is a promotion and not a giveaway… because that’s what this really is… leetdood invited over 100 other people to that breeder while competing with others to win a free pack. Thats a promotion that required actual work… not a “Giveaway.” If they were slow to ship and found his customer’s questions annoying, he should have just muttered a curse word to himself, and responded back more graciously. If I was dealing with an irate customer and have many times… I always apologize and show empathy. Leetdood didn’t even appear Irate so to me the ALLCAPS thing and rudeness was totally uncalled for.
I had a similar situation with a breeder who sent my seeds to an incorrect address. I simply tried to get support and the breeder himself erupted at me and was rude and resorted to name calling and said he didn’t want my business… called my situation an impossible one and questioned the reliability of postal tracking… so I tracked down the missing package in a bad neighborhood in another zip code, then posted proof in the chat. Instead of apologizing they closed the chat. I had even explained that despite me spending a couple hundred directly with him… I spent $500+ that same week on his seeds at another vendor. My business just didn’t matter. It seems like because seed sales and seed making is a fringe type business that you can’t just complain to the Better Business Bureau about… or leave a negative Yelp review… some of these guys have absolutely no problem treating their customers like trash… and that isn’t right.
So lesson learned… I’ll never do business with that breeder again. It was very stressful.
which one ??? all we consumers can do is share the negative experiences with one another
