SAN checking in @ OG

@dankisdope

It smells like Kopperburg berrys mixed cider. and they both go great on a hot summer day.

I’m not the greatest at smoke reports and smells.

I can leave you with the description of the strain from Seed heaven. They describe it perfect…much better than I can. 9

I have become fond of it since I purchased the seeds from seed heaven…( I checked there site unfortunately there sold out.

Candyberry F2
(Buddha’s Sister x Cocoa Kush)

The mother:
Buddha’s Sister is a ‘dark cherry’-tasting bud that has a more indica-appearance
but when smoked, shows a bit of sativa too. Soma’s selection takes 8 weeks to
be done, but excells at week nine. Little Attention is needed to grow this Lady.
She performed very well in soil, but made no trouble in other mediums.

The father:
DJ Short’s Cocoa Kush has become quite known. Esko’s Chocolate rain made good
use of this cultivars inheritance and lifted DJ’s creation into many people’s attention.
The same male that created Chocolate Rain was used for candyberry, and it shows (!)

Candyberry:
Some sweet Candy-types and some dry/dusty Blueberry-Cocoa leaning phenos
showed and enriched my Library. They took 8 to 9 weeks and (as always with Esko’s)
grew by themselves, complete autopilot … The effects are first heady and then go
over to a relaxed state, hits the eyes and wanders to the rest of the body. i have to
admit that i was surprised by the high potency and no cieling-experience of these
ladies.

This seedline was part of the ‘Chocolate Mix’ @ Sannie’s Shop in 2012/2013.
It’s quite rare and formerly impossible to find outside of the “Choocate mix”.
And it will never show again, so 6 F1-Females and 2 F1-males were let to do
their thing to preserve this very rare Esko-gem. And now it’s time to make it
available again for a few growers that appreciate Esko’s former regular work.
Enjoy.

Edit…@dankisdope …why do you not try the Amnesia Haze x Choc rain as you are so keen .its a great cultivar as well…S H has them in stock.

“candyberry”-plants are somewhat leafy, but they pack on some nice frost
and their buzz has that known quality from dj short genetics blueberry-types.
i really digged the unique smells/tastes that came up and hope to explore
the line later on a bit further like f3, f4 (or maybe dive into the X’s i made).

i think ill like the amnesia haze chocolate rain alot especially from pics. im always going to be interested in the out of the ordinary and fun stuff, these chocolate hybrids were most definitely some of the coolest herb i ever seen in my life. its so cool you guys know more about them and have tried them so much more. im excited, definitely hard to wait, but im getting closer to them again already! Zanz made sure to get me a few to try, i think ill get to some of those soon! I got a female and male cocoa kush f3 that might be really really good to make more with ill post some pics soon . the male is looking unreal. i honestly am not sure if i have ever seen such a nice looking male b4 lol. i havent seen a lot, but i went through quite a few here past few years. this is all way to cool, i always dream this was possible but never knew i could find myself here. thanks again @santero ! The man! This just keeps getting cooler!
Ive also read a few more posts by now and have even more of an understanding how much more there is that i really dont know about! I really, really think i would like to try the Oaxacan style ones too someday. those sound fun and unique as well!! Just before they werent available, and the site had gone down, i almost got the Jalisco IBL, a friend of mine said he was pretty sure he knew what that stuff is from Mexico and told me to try to get it. Ive read and heard a lot of ppl saying some of those mexican sativas are amazing too! Chocolate most definitely my favorite but i like everyhing else a lot also haha

these two male here, i guess cocoa kush f3 - one of them much larger, bigger, kinda better looking . but this other plant has the huge nice clusters on it that look amazing to me. maybe i dont have the best judgement for a male from less experience, but i really like how both of these guys look . pics here in a moment

Also , other than these

I have two male Berry Nice Plants 2.0 that look great too. One of them looks a bit more male than the other but both are so nice . I think ill run the big male on the right here , vs a few plants i have that need to be better, maybe a few clones too idk yet.

BNP 2.0 males i kept just two so far

Also, got nice 4 female BNP 2.0 ! Lucky me, way too fun. Pics soon, theyre doing great here so far in 70-80% humidity and the suns too strong, all is well! They are healthier , got more food and water, the males have to struggle a bit but the ones i select will get a nice pot too. Every plant vigorous and nice growing forsure.

Got about 6 males from my apollo 11 x queen of soul cross, and i think 5 females actually surprised. having a hard time picking a male with those too but they are really stinky and pretty good looking as well.

excited to get to some others soon too, but trying to select and enjoy them carefully!

ive asked, and read about how some ppl like the males that take longer to make the pollen cluster sacks, or prefer males that during veg, dont produce so much. but the male i used recently that i really liked was like other type of plant, fast producing clusters, fast growing, fast everything and it made some great plants so far from what i can see.
i think if the things making crazy, uniform male looking pollen sacs it can be trusted pretty well. but, I trust other peoples judgement more than mine mostly if they have a lot of experience. my experience is much less with males. but ive had a little success so far finally! Its so fun! Cool to see how my cross i did comes out too eventually here. i think ill take a few of those and pollinate them as well, see what kind of crazy they can make  a plant of (apollo 11 x queen of sou)l vs (BNP 2.0 male) maybe for fun too.

I hope to make some great stuff , and not just “stuff” lol , but the possibilities are always endless it seems . i like that part a lot. seeing what ya get out of a cross is always so cool, just glad i got started finally! Theyre all unique and fun. Trying to keep things short but i could go on and on and on ahaha.

Yes!! The Amnesia Haze x Chocolate Rain, which has been dubbed as Raspberry Haze (although I discovered Grapefruit and Passion Fruit phenos; I am from a tropical place so maybe my nose is sharper on these terps), is amazing. I will pop three more seeds in february for sure. They will be victims (on a lower branch) of my 2025 Mango Haze pollen chucking fiesta. You do have oaxacan genes in the line through the floral line that makes up the Cocoa Kush. Look for the H.O.G. (Highland Oaxacan Gold) in the line:

That’s all you can do Amigo

Stick to similar strains ( like u r doing…observe how they grow…look for variations.

Join in discussion…which your doing …in time you will start interfacing with the plants. You seem to be doing ok…I’m pretty sure most guys here will help you out …if you need it.

Ye keep on trucking and keep posting .

Good luck

Didn’t had any rasberry, but my smell isn’t doing well for weeks now. Did the selecting more on how tingling pungent it was on the nose and what my growbuddy said.

These came out 40 seeds, 1 almost chocolate rain pheno and 1 amnesia mix. This is outdoor in bad summer conditions.

Maybe make a cross in future.

that looks very well taken care of! amazing! that looks awesome, and for outdoor in bad conditions, alot better than i would expect. it looks super nice!!! looks like some stuff id enjoy!!! i like the tall, sativa kinda buds they always seem to smoke the best lol . alot of the newer things ive tried tasted good but didnt have fun effects kinda sleepy idk. chocolate rain from what i remember was a fun one no doubt. that cross sounds so good. im really thinking i can notice some of that chocolate rain in a few pics. Mostly those triangle kinda shaped nugs in the middle pic , orange/pink background. Bitter cocoa kinda maybe? there was a hot cocoa like hot chocolate drink flavors in the chem cocoa that was what was so incredible to me. That last pic almost look milk chocolatey maybe but im guessing a lot… haha

i have no idea what the santa maria is myself, going to be very fun and special to try it too! im excited and im getting closer! learning the plants is always fun and amazing, getting to grow them is special stuff. i dont have a ton of experience compared to some, but new phenos are always fun and exciting and unique, i have had to keep a lot of stuff around just because they are such great plants. but im starting to favor other plants now mostly the stuff that is sativa style. i think some of these new additions, BNP 2.0, and these others will be some of my best plants already . Looking so good!

Thanks so much for this smoke report San! I never did name this one. So I guess Purple Truffle it is. It’s always more special when someone else names your hybrid imo.

I think the #3 you are speaking of might be the one that I consider to be the keeper as well. Correct me if I am wrong, but that pheno (in my experience) had no side branching, but is very thick. The smell to me was cherry/berry, and almost like Starburst Fruit Punch flavor. The plant that I grew outdoors was really great herb, and had some good potency to it.

Thanks again for all of the kind words San. I appreciate you my brother. Also, did I ever send you any MOB Magoo seeds? I think that one would be incredibly beneficial to your wife. The Blue Magoo side is very dominant overall, but the MOB beefed it up considerably. Some phenotypes are like Blue Magoo on steroids.

Sorry to hear of your injury bro. I’ve been so busy I hadn’t a chance to check in over here for awhile. Hopefully you’ve been taking it easy and recovery is going well. If there’s anything I can do to help out just say the word…Got your back always my friend.

yesss the blue magoo is great, its in a cross i have, from dynasty the blue magoo cookies. tastes great, it can get a rose petal flavor in it sometimes, some color, mostly just blue flavors. there was a pheno that was smaller and leafier i liked more . this other pheno i have now and still kept is too sleepy but its great, amazing pain relief and instant sleep lol. just not fun for that reason, cant even wake up to blaze more. my last pheno of it has a lot of blue magoo characteristic, its great for the pain and sleep. im way more into stuff thats active and cerebral, but i really like the magoo flavors too, and ive seen MOB Magoo on IG that looks amazing!! i think all stuff helps a lot but sometimes certain plant just help a lot more. certain strains can be more effective but i also get pain relief and muscle relaxation from stuffs thats more sativas too. its nice when you have a variety, or can go to it when needed . i still have been trying to keep the plant for these reasons but every time i fire it up and go to sleep i wonder if i like it anymore haha

rest easy and keep recovering, ice it alot if its still swelling, wishing you all the best, being injured is no fun!!! i have dealt with it a lot, the sauna has become my favorite thing for recovery over time. and the tree of course. thats the best help ive had alot. the herb works great

ive got some good ideas, a few random plants i got that are growing great but need help in the flavor department!

queen of soul #1 x bnp 2.0 male (SAN)

(bluemagocookies x supersilverhaze) x (LA Confidential x Cocoa Kush) male (Zanz)

SuperSilverhazepheno#2 (dynasty2023) x Cocoa Kush male #1 (Zanz)

also might be a fun idea to pair these : Sour Diesel x Lemon thai (pheno 1 and 2) freebies from SAN x (OregonLemonxHuckleberry) Male(dynasty2023)

Got to grow and clone the 4 pheno of Berry Nice plants 2.0 and make sure i know which are best , planting everyting in the morning finally now. Will update soon!

if you are looking for easy to grow and uniquely tasting & smelling plants
with a heady-leaning effect, then his are really worth the time to grow :+1:
there were literally keepers in every pack (even the 4-5 seeds freebie packs)

his lines were among the most easiest to grow and performed great with little to
no attention  beginners as well as people with deepgreen thumbs can make
these plants shine like the sun.

esko did not invent the wheel, (lol) … of course, he also stood on the
shoulders of giants. this was shown many times in his big respect for
people like dj short, mota, soma which creations -among many others-
he used in his work (and using desired elite clones was also smart :face_with_hand_over_mouth: )

__

keeping these genetics around and available today is a must
and doing it without profits in mind a question of honor and
hommage (or tribute) to the sources & work done before us.
