Split alot of hairs today?

Comparing a world famous brainsergeon to a neighbor with a butter knife and I am splitting hairs, lol. OK then.

Much appreciated! I’ll ping Mystic again on IG, we both got busy but I’d love to see if we can get more old stuff in circulation

maybe look for a person that is well trained and very skilled in tissue culture,(haha i am not your guy- yet) cause its more likely that there are just some viable cells left instead of an whole intact embryo. best case is a meristematic core, or that part of the embrio that turns into the epicotyl later on.
just perform seed sterilisation via standart protocoll, then remove the seedcoat in a sterile fashion in front of a laminar flow hood and place the embrio on callus induction media.
if callus forms ( takes up to a month sometimes) induce somatic embrios, when mature, transfer them to shoot media.
micropropagate the shoots and eventually root them on root media. acclimatize it and its done.
thats what i would suggest.

I myself have a collection of genetics from the 70’s. that a great Californian grower recently gave me There are so many gems there that a great friend and I are thinking very seriously what to do.
We can’t spoil them, there are probably things there that will never come back.
so personally I prefer to wait even invest in a high-tech laboratory I think that technology in genetics is advancing very quickly.

Exactly, I’ve been thinking the same thing recently. With the tech advancing so fast and with so many people learning it, it’s probably worth just waiting until we can guarantee success with a lot of the rare old stuff that’s left out there.
