Ouch!! I bet they take a cut off the top of each transaction too. That sucks.

Sounds like they are asking for a sort of “Security Deposit” in case there are any problems with charge backs. Are they going to take your monthly fee (not their % of sales) automatically out of the deposit?

Always. Most of them charge a monthly or annual fee, a fee for the equipment (one time or monthly) as well as a percentage of the sale (anywhere up to 5% or more) depending on volume and/or the industry. Had to set ours up years ago and it sucked then, I hate to see what it’s like now.

They’re taking a “Security Deposit”, per transaction fees and percentage fees. It’s a racket, but it’s what the banking industry is forcing on me. I’d rather have processing than not have it, no matter their cut.

Damn, that’s tough. Any benefit from being a non profit?

@LabRat I’m pretty interested in the beam (bream?) test process. I can’t afford testing things at the one local lab for every strain I want to look into.
I already got most of the chemicals, need to get a set of test tubes and some other minor stuff and I’ll be ready for it.

I must have been pretty stoned yesterday,. I don’t know how that quote got in my post or where it came from lol :dizzy_face:

If you highlight a text and then click reply farther down it auto imports the quote. I do it all the time and have to erase the quoted part. Working as intended… or a glitch… I’m not sure, but I got use to it.

Probably high lighted it with my twitchy fingers when scrolling down

I think it’s about 70 days.

I got an email from my payment processor that they’re going out of business. Sigh… Time to find another one before the end of the month.

Could you not start selling veggie seeds calling yourself a market garden type store ? That way the POS people couldn’t cut you off how would they know your selling weed seeds?

How do other seed shops in the US manage to take credit cards, etc, but they are giving you all this crap? Is it a Wa state thing or something else?

It’s actually the CBD cream I sell that’s getting me tossed to the fly-by-night processors.
If anyone figures out what processors other seedbanks are using, please let me know. Greenpay looks like its hokey too.

BTW, I couldn’t find a good carrying case for all my smoking gear, so I built one!

Can’t for the life remeber where I read it but people are using chinese payment processers. I can’t tell you how it works but it seemed like they were the only ones at the moment.

It may have been spoken about in MG subreddit somehwere by stan. I know they were having trouble for a while. I don’t know if thats the solution either but it may be worth looking into or try searching the MG subreddit for more info?

Sorry, but that would scare the crap out of me. Its bad enough dealing with the greedy bastards in the US when they have to follow at least a few rules that force them to pretend to care about the customers and protect personal data. No rules for those guys.

What if you were a poster store… you’re only selling “posters” of the strain names… they may just be a piece of paper with a name scribbled on it but it’s still a “poster”. And if some seeds accidentally fall into the envelope then oops. Would that get you access to pay pal?
