Sebring's Perpetual No-till Living Organics

Sorry, I only got to part of that discussion. Here is the gyst of it.
There are three types of cicada life cycles:

  1. Annual : Cicada species with annual life cycles emerge every year, for example, Swamp Cicadas (Neotibicen tibicen) emerge every year in the United States, and Green Grocers (Cyclochila australasiae) emerge every year in Australia.
  2. Periodical : Cicadas species with periodical life cycles emerge together after long periods of time, for example, Magicicada septendecim will emerge every 17 years (Find out where they’ll emerge next). Magicicada periodical cicadas are organized into Broods , which correspond to the series of years in which they will emerge. Only periodical cicadas are organized by Brood.
  3. Proto-periodical : Cicada species with proto-periodical life cycles might emerge every year, but every so many years they emerge in heavy numbers, like the Okanagana.

Glad to hear the Sebring’s Revenge will get restocked!

Here’s a couple I’m running now, gonna flip them in a couple weeks

My Sebring’s Revenge is really nice. Really tasty with a sort of cherry and a light chemical thing.

Tonight I’ve been mixing it with SSDD for a nice tasty blend. SR is very terpy from this pheno. SR burns and smokes well, too, all on its own.

I’d love some!

Im so late on this but I totally agree. I get tastes of certain things. In the soil. The kelp shines through sometimes. Hell some plants taste just like clean soil. I believe thats ahen youve axhieved a beautiful harmony between your plant and ita medium.

Grape juice and shit is all processed garbage. I put it like this and I know im not a scholar but I feel you soil should have the nutrients available for the plant to “use what it needs” without some of these amenments causing plant damage.

I do believe that everything translates itnto terpine profiles and overall flavors. If im reading this xorrext andtheyre putting faygo to try to achieve pineapple terps lol. Se tried that when we were 13. Moving on.

The ? Is do you lose earthy to es and terps through straight hydroponics. Just asking?

I hope youre doing well @sebring youve been a huge inspiration for me. Humble+smart+funny+loving= @sebring

Thank you for everything…Seb for Prez!

I’ve noticed the kelp/fish funk too, most noticeably from some herb grown by a much more experienced grower… & never brought it up because I knew he’d deny it. :smirk:

You’re supposed to put it on the soil, not the plants. :joy:
Plants don’t absorb complex molecules like the ones that cause fishy funk. It just doesn’t work that way.

That being said, I know I’ve splashed kelp/fish on lower buds when watering. More than likely the source of the problem.

I was very tempted to press the guy on whether he used kelp or oceanic-sourced foliars, because it was very ‘kelpy’ on the exhale… wouldn’t have thought of it if I hadn’t smoked & tasted it… “Nah… he can’t be THAT bad…!?!” (comm’l grower with a decade on me)

For me, mostly growing hydro from the start and now transitioning to soil for the first time. There was a huge difference in the terpene/scent profile from the Godberry I just finished up between dwc and soil. I mean maybe nutrients could be the cause but idk…

First go was in DWC with aqua flakes and she reeked of straight lemons and then berries and that’s it. I took a clone in very early veg and stuck it in soil during this time.

The second go around with that clone in soil(FFOF) using maxibloom and I’m getting a massive gassy/hashy funk right up front, easily the entire first half of the smell, that I NEVER had in DWC, at all… That smell is then closely followed by a little bit of a light lemon scent, and then the berries to finish it up at the end.

I read some studies. Overall, the terpene levels were higher in the hydroponic buds. There were terpenes present in the organic buds that weren’t in the Hydro at all(all the same ones, plus additional) It made for a much more diverse profile overall. I found it extremely interesting.

I would very much like to read that study, or any similar studies, if you’ve still got any links handy.

It’s been awhile. I will look for it.

I’ve been back through the business plans that I have written, and looked at all the pertinent links I’ve kept. I cannot find the article.

It had a table towards the bottom that listed multiple different strains that they had experimented on. Most of the strains in organically grown conditions produced terpenes that were not present in the hydroponically grown buds. I will keep surfing and see if I can find it.

Has anyone grown out the maui wowie cherry bomb x sunshine daydream?
I was recently corresponding with a long time cultivator and mmj patient who was saying his maui wowie line was high in CBC, which reduces pain perception.

I was curious if anyone knew whether this hybrid may also contain a useful ratio of CBC.

Does anyone know of any strains which are helpful for severe pain in the eyes?
I need a medical cannabis option for relief from a lasting eye injury, and associated pain in the muscles in my face.

I haven’t grown them out yet but I have some from the four I got a year ago. Doing some this winter for sure.

35 healthy looking beans in that pack too! Thanks @Sebring!

I’m finding that a higher CBD edible helps with my eye twitching from multiple injuries since age 10. It can flicker like Morse code sometimes making it really hard to read. I often get ‘halos’ around my vision too that are like a kaleidoscope just on the edges. Mainly when really tired and after many hours of reading stuff on the monitor.

These are the specs I got from Sebring’s website when I got the beans but no mention of CBD. I’ve grown out the Revenge and the CBD in them kick my arthritis pain really good made into cocobudder.

A truly unique cultivar with a nerve pain reducing effect and a chem family funk. It gas a rich chemmy fruity berry kush terpene signature and stand out notes of sour butter.

I grew it out but don’t know much more than that. Mine got seeded so it lost some luster but it yields great and grew strong. I’d like to look through more plants because of both parents.

I’m planning on having it lab tested, so we’ll know what exactly is in the Maui Wowie once it’s finished!

The gold mine of phenos are in the F2 seeds you have! Grow them out  or send me some and I will. :stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe you might want some beans I should get from my Earth Lover girl in a few weeks. I used two EL males pollen mixed up to dust a lower branch of buds a few days ago. Then I dusted the other lower branch with pollen from the Loco Mota male I had outside. I thought what the hell I got fresh pollen and a horny girl so why not eh! lol

I wrapped the whole plant other than the buds to be dusted both times with different bags and sprayed the shit out of everything with water before taking the bags off after 24hours of sitting alone after pollination.

I’ve done 5 pollinations on one plant before so really careful about cross-contamination.

I’ve got two Blue Tara (Bubbashine X Snow Lotus) starting to flower outside. Bodhi said the Bubbashine was the most medical line that he has worked, well that was quite a few yrs ago though. I’m really curious about the effects and it’s half the parents of the SSDD so I have high hopes for it but we’ll see. I has been one of the most unique cannabis plants I’ve grown she has dark purple stem, purple tipped hairs and very different smell on the stem rub kinda a sweet floral cleaner so far. I will post up a smoke report when I get them done.

Does anyone know of a smoke report that is already made were we could just fill in answer and mark an x or check box. That way we have a formatted smoke report that we could share with everyone. I think that would be very beneficial to the OG community.
