Second ever grow, First Octopot grow!

A bit of pvc pipe and a funnel would fix that.

Thanks TopShelf!
Definitely follow along and get involved! Im a second time grower and first time Octo-Grower. Its gonna be an adventure, thats for sure!
As for clean and organized…Is there any other way!? lol.

Whats so pricey about the Octopots in Canada? Is it just the shipping?

@Jetdro inspires me! Pulling a pound+ from a single plant…Consistently. Oh boy! Im hoping for somewhere close to pound territory.

I went with Athena Blended because thats what my new friend uses. He guided me through my first grow. Got lots of it left, so may as well use. Plus, it did a really good job.

Hey guys!

Here’s what I came up with for watering during my last grow. Works pretty well and was a life saver when I was running five 5-Gallon plants.

5 gallon jugs from Amazon along with Transfer pump. Works to remove fluid from reservoirs as well.
Mix up my nutes in advance, and its there waiting. These same jugs will most likely be used when I utilize the Auto-water system.

Very smart! I like it! Ya it’s the shipping and conversion rate etc. or I’d already have them 100% I’m itching to try LSO as well (living soil) we’ll see which one I get to first

Here’s after some light trimming. Want to Veg her hard for at least another three weeks to a month. Going to do a few more toppings.

Love your watering system! My solution much more rag-tag; I use the top of a half gallon pourNstor (bartender stuff) as a funnel:

Here we are. She’s getting BIG.

Didn’t end up doing the trimming that I wanted this past weekend. Still want to wait until end of month or beginning of November to flip to flower.

Did feeding Sunday with Athena recommended feed schedule, instead of half-strength like first feeding. They are thriving. No signs of anything bad, other than my lack of upkeep, lol.

Left work for VA Hospital for back pain out of control, so probably not being productive tonight other than watering with nutes, as she is below the first indicator.

Thanks! It’s not ideal, but it works. On a “Bad Back” kinda day like today, it’ll come in handy.

Did a defoliation today. Not too heavy. Want to see how she reacts. More nutes and gallons in the reservoir @1000ppm 2EC.

Forgot to mention, she’s deep into Veg and drank down five gallons this past week! Crazy.

How are these Hydro-roots looking?

First shot prior to feeding…

Next shot post-feeding…

Would love some feedback!

Thanks guys!

Day 38 of veg. Flipping to flower this weekend!

Went out of town for a concert this weekend, or the flip would have already happened. It’s not every day that I get to see Yes in concert…

She’s getting big and needs a heavy defoliation and lollipoping.
Gave her a few gallons the other day of just pure reverse osmosis water. Will feed again today - 5 gallons final veg feeding 1000ppm.

Here’s Day 1 Flower!
She’s filling the canopy pretty well so far. I think some growth in the coming weeks will help really fill up this 2x4 with the single Electrify plant.

I’ve heard many people go the first few weeks of flower with vegetation nutrients. Going to ask Athena that question tomorrow. Their nutrient schedule says go to flower nutrients right away of course. I can see the logic of going with growth nutrients due to the two or three week stretch coming up.

These last three shots are from the In-tent cams:

Girls eager to get the day started! Day 4 of Flower. Day 66 total.

She’s in her anticipatory praying position. She knows light is on its way in 30 minutes!

Awesome! Love the night pics, it’s so interesting to watch how they react when we normally can’t see them. Very cool

Wanted to take a minute to mention all has been going great with the Athena Blended nutrients so far. Started out using half-strength during Veg, then moved to full-strength (around 1000PPM) with no problems. Just gave first Bloom feeding a couple days ago, went just about full strength and all looking great so far.

Grow LIght Science ProGrow 320 is hanging at around 15", but running only 60% right now (around 700PPFD). I am going to ramp up lighting over two weeks to 100% and hit around 900 at that point. Will ramp back down towards end of flower, especially if I see any foxtailing.

Thanks! I think its pretty cool, too! I love watching them move throughout their evening. Interesting the “Night-life” this girl has, lol.

This was just after lights out last night, and another shot taken a few minutes ago before lights on in about 20 minutes.
If my girl had an internal monologue, I think she might be saying something like this:

OMG, I’m Soooo done with all that light. Just let me get some freaking rest…

Feed Me!!!

I’m just not sure if she speaks Valley-girl or Gilbert Gottfried! Lol

But sure a Huge difference from “end of a long working day” to “Lets get this day moving”!

Here’s Electrify as of 11/12/2023. This time I did a true full strength feeding. 60 ml for 5 gallons of Bloom A and B. Around 2.3 EC.

She’s definitely stretching out! Keep routing and re-routing branches.
Now in day 9 of Flower and looking good. I did see a bit of brown tips, but just barely. We’ll see what this “Full-strength” feeding does to my girl.

I’m around 12"-15" away with lamp. PPFD around 800ish. By end of week, will ramp up to 10, I think. At that point PPFD will be around 900-1000. Im not seeing the strength I was hoping for from this light. Its PAR Map seems hopelessly optimistic… Im definitely NOT seeing 1000+ PPFD at 20". Maybe 15", but then you lose the spread.
