Seems pretty good so far. A couple of minor issues Ive noted, but nothing to write home (or trash on the internet) about.
It just seems not as powerful as it should be. Ill do more testing later. Need to test current draw and do a proper PAR map after this grow.
At distance (20"), it just doesnt seem to have “enough”. We’ll see how the grow goes.I have yet to see an ACTUAL review of this lamp. My HLG 350Diablo used on last grow had the numbers, but needed distance to spread.

Ive run the HLG 350 Diablo in my last (first) grow. Got one of thier small Veg lamps as well.
I decided I wanted a spare lamp, something good but in a different style (Bar). The ProGrow 320 was $290. Cant bitch about that.
This is what I’m using for feeding. I just the other day did a 5 gallon batch at full-strength for week 2.
If I need to add water, should I “feed” again, or just RO’d water until the actual week 3 feeding. On day 10 right now.
Think I’m going to call Athena tomorrow and ask them. On my prior grow, I always gave nutes, but I had 5 plants. Dont want to take too much chance with this girl, lol. Especially since the uptake is higher with the hybrid root system, Im guessing.
Sunday is start of week 3 with associated nutes.
Based on Athenas schedule, I would think I should just give PH’d RO water until next actual nute feeding. Athena rec 1150ppm or 2.3EC for the ENTIRE week. If my girl lasts til thursday I’ll be surprised. Shes gonna need at least more PH’d water.
I LOVE that Athena gives so much info. Their website is really complete for the most part. Other nutrient companies keep you in the dark regarding PPM, EC, Etc….
I spoke with Athena.
They advised since its a Hydro-ish feed system to keep with nutrients as is. They advised EC isnt stacking up.
Example: If I feed 2.3 EC on Sunday and feed again Tonight 5 gallons at 2.3 EC its not like Im feeding them 4.6 EC or over-feeding them for the week.
So, Im going to feed again tonight at 2.3 EC. Gonna do 5 gallons again to get me through to Sundays feeding.
This Electrify girl went crazy last night! She sucking up nutrients and water like its going out of style, and getting HUGE.
And Shes getting HUGE!
As of yesterday evening, she’s been fed 10 gallons of full-strength 2.4 EC RO since Sundays feeding, and just keeps going. Fuck.
This one plant is drinking more than all five plants in my last grow.
Now that she’s starting to Bud-Up, I may begin adding Blackstrap Molasses to the reservoir soon. Did the last week or two of prior grow. Thinking about starting earlier this time. Cant say for sure if it helped or not, but doing it for sure this time, just a bit earlier. Maybe start arround week 5 or so. When she starts bulking up.
Wanted to take more, but really didn’t feel comfortable being that was already day 21 of flower. I should have taken much more off when she came out of vegetation. Too many other things going on…
Good news is, Electrify looks like she’s recovering well. I gave her a couple more gallons at maximum level on Friday. This evening when I went to give her 5 gallons at week 4 levels - 2.6 EC, she was bone dry. Going to crank up the lamp now as well. At this point I’ve been running anywhere around 6 or 8. Going full blast tomorrow morning 9:00 a.m. 900+PPFD. Yee-haw!
Here we are entering week 6 this past weekend. Starting to use Blackstrap Molasses. Last grow, I started the molasses a bit later. I think just around or prior to flushing. Im going to keep using until harvest on this Electrify grow.
Cool thing is, the PH came out perfect right at 6-6.3.
Still cant accomplish a proper defoliation and trim. Maybe next grow.
So, things are pretty much going on autopilot for now, and thats a good thing! Been down with Stomach flu turned Pneumonia the past two weeks. Wifey and kid in Manilla, so no help at all except my faithfull Morkie Stanlee, but he’s only good for moral support, lol.
All I really HAD to do is Make RO water, Mix, and feed.
She’s on empy right now… the float indicaton isnt showing on my in-tent cam. Feeding again at full-strength plus molasses tonight. 5 more gallons. She’s a drinker for sure.
Thanks so much! Due to my neglect on this grow, my dream of another 1+ pound 2x4 harvest probably wont happen, but Im fully confident I’ll pull no less than half-pound this time.
Anyone whos in Vegas is definitely welcome to “Partake” once shes harvested and dry. Plan to havest 2nd week of January and dry/cure after that. I noticed my last grow was pretty decent right out of the dry tent, but has def gotten better since.
