Hey plant Shepherd. Please donā€™t take what Iā€™m telling you is gospel, because Iā€™m only going from what I see with my own eyes, and Iā€™m putting two and two together. For the last year, I have been on a bender researching varieties, to make me a better plant breeder. I noticed that the real seed company carries several of the same varieties as a couple other landrace providers. If you look at where the real seed company gets their genetics from, itā€™ll say sourced fromā€¦ I have seen sourced from landrace genetics written down before. So somebody besides him is getting seeds for him. I believe these same people may be giving seeds to other companies as well, or they are the companies that Supply Angus. And please Iā€™m not telling anybody this to take business away from Angus, I have loaded up on the real Seed Company seeds over the last 6 months and I love what he stands for, and I remember him in business when I was a much younger man. The landrace team Carrieā€™s Tora Bora, and Mazar. The description sounds incredibly similar for the Tora Bora. The timing is pretty similar as well as they both popped up around the same time. Indian landrace exchange site sells a strain called kholm aka tashkurgan. Same description as real Seed Company essentially. They also carry bhalki and Hindu kush and another one that I canā€™t recall. ( I know I just spelled that wrong sorry) the landrace team offers many of the same Central Asian strains that weā€™ve seen pop up recently, including Siberian, Crimean, and kazakistan among others. I tell everybody that because they are also doing the good work, and although they make some sales through the real seed company, they do have strains that are not available on Angusā€™ site and it would be good for everyone here to know about them. Another one new is Khalifa genetics. I just received my second of two packages from them. Excellent packaging. They carry sheberghan. Please donā€™t buy their stock out guys or if you do donā€™t forget about me!!!

Something I hadnā€™t thought of before. Perhaps Angus is supplying all these other companies?

And jeez, finally, for Suspicious Minds, maybe Theyā€™re reproducing some of his seed stock, in order to sell alongside of Their Own? I guess find out who was selling it first.

I think Angus has done a huge service to growers. He gets landrace genetics in the hands of people who want them for a fair price, and is a reliable source. But that said, he doesnā€™t ā€œownā€ any of his strains I donā€™t think. The value in his business is the contacts heā€™s made with farmers, breeders and collectors and the reputation heā€™s built.

I think itā€™s perfectly acceptable for other business to sell the same genetics. As long as theyā€™re honest about where they come from and how they are obtained, I canā€™t really see how theyā€™ve done anything wrong. Some places also have some different sources. I know the Khalifa Chellakuti comes through cocogenes, and that person has a lot more on their own site as well.

Gee imagine thatā€¦

Doesnā€™t matter much where they come from as long as they are legit. As this thread is about breeders I figured I would mention these other companies. Khalifa I had great experience with and will let you know soon about the others.@ ol reynerdā€¦ I know people reproduce genetics, but as these companies
claim to have original stock letā€™s hope repros are not the case. Anyone grow seeds from these places? I was afraid to order from a company on instagram, but now ace seeds is selling these genetics so I figure they are legit.

What site for cocogenes seeds? I saw the kerala came from him. Anything else good? And absolutely no one can claim ownership of a landrace anymore than someone could claim ownership of wheat or rice or corn. And landraces are certainly from Fairly large regions, so thereā€™s certainly more than one phenotype for each one. I have an order from Angus coming sometime in the next week. Picked up a few packs of the manipuri, and@ heritage farms I also grabbed three packs of Malana. I hope you guys manage that seed run this summer. If something happens, get in touch in November and I should have some malana seedsšŸ˜¬

I also had a really good experience with Khalifa. Their seeds look good, and whenever I get around to growing them, Iā€™ll post some pictures of the Chellakutti. Love the description of that one, it just might take 6 months to grow itā€¦ :persevere:

Cocogenes is here: https://www.cocogenes.com/

Outside of Thailand this is the longest flowering strain Iā€™ve ever seen! Seems like a likely candidate for extinction to me. I love that it says extreme energy producer! This old guy says Bring It On! I canā€™t wait to see what you do. PM me

I knew you were going to mention Landrace Exchange. So Iā€™m not really sure how it all works either, but what I can tell you is this.

I ordered two packs of seeds from Landracemafia - Hindu Kush from Andarab Villiage, and Tashkurghan aka Kholm. Out of 24 seeds, I was able to get 4 of them to germinate. At the same time, using the same methods, I had 35 out of 36 domesticated seeds germ. When I contacted Landracemafia about this I was told; I should not have used paper towels - landrace seeds like to be sown directly into soil, all his seeds are guaranteed, but heā€™s out of those b/c they were sourced from Baba78 or whatever his handle is, he would be getting more, and I never heard anything backā€¦

Maybe I just suck, but it was enough for me to give RSC a try. Iā€™m going to germ some of their seeds soon just to see rates. And thatā€™s all I got. :v:

real money is using your bank account to pay for seeds, you get a bunch of freebies for a rainy day

I use attitude seed bank (google it) and world wide cannabis seeds, orders come within 2 weeks from the dam to the usa and rarely had germination issues, except for a few seeds that took about 2 weeks to sprout

I have grown an ACE seeds plant in a spare bath tub with 10 ft high ceilings. 4 ft high after constant super cropping and multiple toppings to try and keep her short in a THREE gallon cloth pot! ā€¦She was legit, and had no leaves when done, but was still a chuggin.
Killer Cannabis and killer rosin made from her to wake and bake byā€¦ (seeds were bought from Oaseeds in Spainā€¦my goto overseas seedbank)

If you wanna trade a pack of those malana for something, I have several different things to offer. I love landraces and will be getting some from Burma in the near future.

If yā€™all were to order from Ace, who would you go through? Iā€™ve done a bank transfer directly with em before and it was a hassle that Iā€™d rather skip if possible.

Or if anyone has some Malawi theyā€™re willing to part with.

I think I might have a 5er of their Malawi still in original packing. I probably wonā€™t use it any time soon, so Iā€™d be happy to trade or something.

Oh, btw I also have some Malawi/Panama F2s, and I have their Malawi/Nev Haze (Malawi or haze pheno) crossed to Malawi/Panama. Iā€™ve been messing around with their Malawi/Panama/Haze hybrids, and theyā€™re going to keep me busy for a while.

I have crosses with Malawi (and purple haze) in them.
