Have u seen a plant that switched to reveg, in my experience the bud sites die, dry, and leaves start shooting off em instead, not sure if it will mature seeds or not
ya but wonder if it will give that extra week or two you might need. i wish i knew lol! but like others have said you will get more than enough even if you arent able to extend the time also so jealous of your weather
The only other person I’ve seen who experimented with having a seeded plant reveg ended up with all immature/non-viable seeds. Can’t be entirely certain without more data, but I’d try to harvest before reveg rather than risk it.
I heard they will mature a small amount when chopped. I don’t think I would rely on that, but I’ve seen another grower here talking about it.
And for the re-veg, I think it takes the plant some time to realize it needs to switch. So that MIGHT leave you a little time for them to finish up. But as Cormoran said, they might not come out mature.
I think this may have something to do with the time it was switched thou.
I think the best way to know is find a study on what the plant actually does when they are placed into reveg. But like I said it takes a little while before the plant will start to send out new leaves, so maybe while she is switching she will continue to form the seeds for a little bit.
I know my reveg took almost a month before new leaves came out. So what she does during that transition time is a great thing to find out. I’ll also take a look online and see what I can find for you thou.
Based on Tony greens recommendation, I go at least 6wks from pollination.
What do u guys think of just chopping and drying a lower branch to see how they are coming out? At least if they arent ready it wouldnt lose much?
Just pop a few out from the surface buds. If they’re still green or crack when squeezed they’re not ready. Unless it’s an issue, leave them there till the plant starts to die and dry on her own. Seeds will even pop out on their own.
If u look at the pics u can see em stretching and exposing em through the calyx, the one I exposed is def green and figured since they are all wet they would likely all squish, guess that was a bad assumption
Here’s the charts I’ve been watching, it’s not just the sunrise sunset times but the twilight extra light times I’m worried that’s gonna get me with this project. Anyone know how far I can really push it into spring solstice?
Those ones that are visable, you’ll see that green paper layer dry and crack as the seeds turn brown. I’ve heard most will mature seeds even when reveg or even in veg. The preflowers that form during veg, if they have white hairs they can catch pollen and mature a seed.
Ok, that’s a good description to go off of! I can watch for that
Yep, they sure can. That’s why my autos are preggo too, the preflower along the stems got some sploooge
I dabbed a branch of a plant with a pollen laden q tip the other day, gonna check today if it looks like it took or not. Gonna hit it again, and maybe with a different pollen on a separate branch just in case.
Any way to put together a simple light dep tent that you can put over her to create a dark environment for a couple extra hours a day?
I’m thinking a couple greenhouse hoops and a sheet of 2 mil poly maybe…
Plants are 4 ft tall and in the back corner of my greenhouse, moving them around or trying to isolate isn’t practical and would worry about being consistent doing that as my work schedule isnt
Gotcha. Okay, that’s alli got for ideas
LMAO! 40 mph winds on the regular that shit wouldnt stand a chance, was part of my greenhouse design for weight and sturdiness cuz wind and heat are our biggest battles in my area
Wasn’t a bad one, just a rough area for simple builds with the damn wind, this year been non stop wind too
Hola from AZ as well
Ayyyye! What part? Im over in Mohave county halfway between Laughlin and Havasu!!
