Dear god, how do you do it? I feel busy if I have to go the grocery store AND the gas station in a day lol. No kids living I guess 
Also, why the heck do they start school so early? Its early September here in the tropics of Canada.

A little at a time Spend 7 months planning and making lists, 1 month preparation, 3 months of doing and 1 month of finishing up/putting away 
It used to be 2nd wk of Sept to the 1st week of June though ~60% of the kids left the 2nd week of May with their families for subsistence fishing, tourism etc so ~15 yrs ago we changed our school months to run Mid August through Mid May so kids can actually get promoted to the next level instead of being held back due to attendance and missing final exams…works well enough I suppose though seems like they are receiving more and more off days through the school year anyhow as they get a 3 day weekend every month for Professional Development, additional 3 day weekends for Fair day, quartes ending, Thanksgiving, 13 days for winter vacation , MLK Jr holiday, 8 days for Spring vacation and parent/teacher conferences
Just a cheap Mr Coffee one - can make double shots in one go…essential for when I do not have enough time to drink my usual 1/2 to full pot or need a pick me up

Lol I’m going to go ahead and buy a semi expensive espresso machine. I wore out the $150 machine to the point it leaks in about a year

Huh that makes sense then. It’s nice to hear kids are out working with their families in actual productive businesses. It seems like despite the tradeoffs (nightmarish weather lol) that you guys have a nice lifestyle up there.
Things have changed so much down here in the 'real world’s so quickly and I don’t see it slowing down any time soon, I hope to end up somewhere more remote and community based eventually someday too.

Yeah I have hard water so have to buy a new coffee pot almost every year if/when I get lazy and don’t descale monthly so I didn’t want to spend a whole lot on an espresso machine that may or may not last long
Unfortunately no and those that try to join in the summer plant swaps are usually run off so all cannabis stays within shops, groups and the hemp fests but that would be a sight to see
They are mini’s so takes like 4 to make a medium dog lol
It is a nice lifestyle for those that stay with traditional Ak living unfortunately, we have an annual 30% population change and the next generation doesn’t really have an interest so a lot is getting lost though some do still want to learn - least most of the high schools still help with the moose roadkill crew in their biology classes

Whelp, after the Lucky’s then Hibernate and Purple Badlands are going in for a seed run…I pushed back the Mendo’s waiting on a square pot to fill the 2x3 cabinet better - growing out the clones now. Then there is Good Shit I need to clone and start doing something with. After those i’ll probably keep 1 of the 5 cabinets for my veg area, 1 for seeding and the other 3 for pheno hunting…difinitely gonna run Botafumerous though will probably do a coin flip for the others

The botafumeiros has the weirdest smell. I can’t identify it for the life of me, but it is distinctive and odd, so far not exactly in the best way. We’ll see what the bud smells like. lol

Is there a set number of posts you have to have before adding your name? And are there any details I should know about?

You’ll know when you hit it as you’ll be able to edit the 1st post of the preservation runs to add your name to the list 
I think its 2 or perhaps 3 green dots by your name…visit daily, interact, throw up a journal and get lots of likes - you’ll be there with plenty of time for this seed run as it still has ~4wks to go

If you click on your name it brings you to your profile. That shows the time you have been active on the site. In your case 1 hour.
There is a trust level spot there and it shows that you are a basic user. To get in on the runs typically you need to be a trusted member to be able to edit the top post and add your name.
To become a trusted member you must interact with the community by posting. Also by liking others threads and adding comments of your own that add value to the conversation.
This system weeds out people who join for one hour in an attempt to hit up every seed run for free seeds.
