Here in the land of honest (ahem) politicians, the tax collectors (dispensaries) get $90 pre-tax for 7 grams of shake! This works out to a lovely $12.86/gram.

I am soon saying goodbye to the state of IL and swill not miss it other than my beloved Chicago. People think Chicago is called the Windy City because it can be very windy. It’s call that because of windbag politicians. This nickname was given in the 19th century but the corruption is still there.
They botched legalization terribly. All the business here is big corporations unlike what was supposed to happen.

We certainly can’t expect states to do sensible legalization. We know from the start that tax revenue is objective number one.

I don’t know but, since living in Colorado, I can’t imagine the laws being any better. It’s very seamless and it brings in insane amounts of tax revenue. The state was smart, and it seems like they decided to take all of the gravy rather than let private business do it.
It’s also a mostly mom and pop type industry. They seem to to do better than the corporate models. I really can’t think of a single thing in our laws that makes me question it. It’s all user friendly.
Hey @lefthandseeds, my 4P haze are all three monsters. One is more sativa like but all are bodacious. 3 Way Durban is looking nice and the two small, late ones have caught up. Gotta get pots going asap. My 3 Paonia all turned out to be males and I killed them. Bummed about that. I may start some again soon.
Oh, I love the seed production from that one small bud. It reminds me of my Colombian Gold x Malawi Gold that got seeded. Hard to believe so many seeds can come from a small sativa type bud like that.

Neville’s Haze is the 3 in the bottom of the pic, 4P is in the middle and 3 Way Durban in the back row. These pics are a few days old. I have one very sativa in both the Neville’s and the 4P. The 3Way look mostly similar with one a little to the sativa side.

Where do you get those bins? Is this the type I would have used in Cali? The gobs of resin after a trim season were just incredible. It would have lasted me months if not a year! I was offered the Bin “scraps” if I wanted to clean it out, but there was no safe way to get it home.

Panama Haze x Malawi/Panama
Sister of the male (ie. pre-bx ). I decided to chop her today. She’s a chonky girl with very large dense buds, and short like her dad. Smells are interesting. This one is not so hazy, and smells a bit like spearmint, grass and a hint of citrus and incense. I’ll see how she smells in a cure.
I think the backcross is going to be really beneficial here. I wouldn’t mind seeing something similar to this pop up in the everday haze seeds, but with more of the panama haze terpenes and calyxes… maybe a bit more branching.

Some of that beautiful color would be good too. Definitely a nice little fat girl though yeah. This project has been super impressive to me. The genetics are just intriguing. I cant wait to put a few of these ladies outside next summer and see how big I can get em.
