Was that in state or out of the country?
That was coming into Australia
@GreenHighland Iām just outside of mtl if ever ya want to trade some gear . Youāre close enough to drive to lol
Yes, we certainly do. We can also put outgoing mail in our personal mailbox. You put the flag up to indicate that you have a outgoing piece of mail that needs to go out. Iām not sure if other countries have the flag?
The person you are dealing with is just being a dick.
Or they are scared and misinformed. One good quick explanation and there are no excuses. One guy on here knew it was my first trade and even sent first so I could re use his shipping method and material. Once explained thoroughly if he doesnāt cooperate than OK, tag him as a scammer and warn your buddies. People are quick to flame online. Iām a bit of a procrastinator at times but excuse after excuse is a no go for sure.
My local PO always asks whatās in my envelope with flip/s insideā¦ as they fumble with it in their hands. I made up an excuse that I 3D print clips for HVAC controls for Jeep vehicles that are discontinued. Total bullshitā¦
When the same people ask the same question I just started giving the annoyed look and statingā¦ Mail!
Non machinable pleaseā¦
The one teller snapped back at me, I need to know if itās hazardous etcā¦ then ask that then. None of your business whatās in it.
I would never go inside an office personally. So much easier to just drop off. Also if ya get a letter from me donāt post back to the return address lol fake name. Fake address. In a post box. Ftw.
^^^ good pointā¦ if you buy the proper stamps in advance.
And agree with bogus return addy, always use a fake. I donāt live on High St.
Seems like the postal service varies a lot from country to country. Here in Canada we have 3 types of stamps. 1 for Inside Canada. 1 for the United States and 1 for international be it Germany Australia Thailand it doesnāt matter. One stamp to rule them allā¦ Iāve seen people getting letters back in the states needing more postage when there is supposedly enough.
Whatās going on guys Iām on the hunt for a few things. I would love to find;
Nevilleās haze male or regular seeds
Bulletproof genetics- ice cream facial
The original z- terp hogz s1 or bx
Zkittlez-Terphogz (same as above)
Topanga
Malibu kush
Pure kush
Rascall OG
Triangle kush
Banana pepper- cosmic wisdom
Anything that smells like cat piss when itās burnt!
Beef and broccoli cut s1 bx
Blue cookie cut s1 or bx
Any OG kush cut s1 repro ibl (not bubba)
Cuban black haze cut s1 repro bx
Thatās interesting. They never ask, only when Iām filling out customs paperwork but I figured out how to do thst online. Now I just drop off
Thatās literally the same experience I have except they do ask if any perishables breakables or anything that may be toxic
yeah if you go in the post office and talk to a teller to mail the package/letter, they almost ALWAYS ask āwhatās in itā meaning āis there any hazardous/liquid/prohibited/etc material inside itā. You pretty much NEVER have to go in a post office though. If you have a printer you can do it all at home. PirateShip is your friend to ship packages. Letters you just drop in a blue box or stick in your mailbox.
The US is pretty lax on the stamps. We have Forever stamps that are always worth what you paid for them for, they donāt expire and are usually worth around $0.60 cents. we have global/International stamps worth $1.50. You can use any stamps you want though, as long as the stamp covers the cost of postage. A single letter weighing less than an ounce and thinner than 5mm, is one forever stamp. International/Canada/whatever would be 3 forever stamps or one International/Global stamp.
@GreenHighland my post office ask about anything that gets mailed out of country, we have to show id and fill out a declaration sheet. They said they are more worried about mailing money than anything so I normally mail a t-shirt or other item with the beans that re going to the great north.
Hmmm, Iām getting two totally different responses from people with some people saying they donāt ever check and some saying they do. All of the packages that i have received from the US have zero customs declarations from the states stating whats in the package. Only time i see this happening is with mail that has tracking and is over sized, never on letter mail as many have stated that those can be thrown in the blue post boxes. Point is 8 months have passed and now this is the reason they werenāt sent. Sounds strange.
Letters are always mailed WITHOUT customs declaration. Unless youāre doing certified/tracked. Then you may need it out of country.
Packages go through customs and ALWAYS need a customs declaration when going out of country.
When i send a tracked package from Canada that is dropped at the office they will put a sticker on saying what is inside. I usually say computer parts and they print a sticker label right in the package for customs. Ive never received letter mail from the US with those stickers that state whats inside the package. Its always just an envelope with no sticker stating whats inside unless tracked for insurance purposes
Correct. Pretty much same here. Packages need a form saying whatās in there. Letters donāt tho. Letters only need stamps to cover postage and an address.
Ok, so im going to give this dude benefit of the doubt and assume he is trying to send a tracked package as thats what i sent him as it was my very first trade on this site. We shall see what happens but we are going in 9 months now.
Yeah next time iām doing this:
