Hey bro, I’m just glancing through so I haven’t read it real good yet. The roots are looking great. Did you get a good humic/fulvic acid source in your mix? It buffers PH but also makes the nutes easier to transport and make available to the roots and plant.
I may have missed it so I apologize if I did. Jeremy at Build A Soil has a product called Big 6 and the sell Trace 7 which are the same but the 7 has iron. It’s trace elements and also has lots of humic to aid. It’ll help with any lockout.
I wish I could afford to buy a huge batch of stuff from him to do a large pile of soil from scratch. Very cool. I’ll try to go back and look around better. I think it would be so cool to do your soil like that and know for sure what you have in it. I cheat by using ProMix with Roots Organics dry nutrients with a few bottle supps. Have fun! peace
Knowing what’s in my soil has extended to my other plants even! If I’m taking care of it, I’d rather it was in my own mixed soil now. No question of what’s in there.
Thanks for stopping in.
I’m not aware of anything in particular, other than the 3 part base, that would contain humic/fulvic acid. If my issues persist I will go back and look at the Big 6 and Trace 7.
How do the Promix with Nutrients work for you?
That lady is crazy looking with all the branches every which way. Reminds me of my monster crop clone. Is that just a result from taking cuttings? Losing that hormone dominance?
You’re probably good there then. I figured there would be humic acid in there with his stuff. It sort of looks like something is getting locked out… not sure.
Promix has been good for me. I add in worm castings and sometimes a little Ocean Forest for bio char and stuff. It’s hot so not much. Sometimes I pit a layer of it on the bottom and the other on top. I use a lot of myco and other bacto. Since it’s only peat and EWC, I feel like I need to add those micro nutrients in as well. I also add Silica and feel like it’s all working good. I’d like to get my super soil mix going one day so I can just reuse it with refreshing and reinoculating it. and eventually do some no till. peace
Doing really well in their new homes. I’ve separated them according to their growth and structure. The shorter fatter leaf ones versus taller slimmer leaf ones.
We have one mutant that is a bit slower than the rest and showing some weird growth. I love weirdos
Looking good, man! They rebounded pretty good. Sometimes they just need an uppot.
I also wanted to mention that a topdress 1" layer of good quality compost usually fixes any issues for a month or two. So keep that in your back pocket if you find some plants are having issues.
Since Oly Mountain and Malibu Bu’s Blend are so expensive to ship, I wanted to recommend Coast of Maine - Lobster Compost - it’s been good to me, despite the large amount of gnats that came with it. I found it for $20 delivered from Amazon after all my local nurseries and gardening centers were sold out of good quality organic compost. It has a bunch of predator mites and rove beetles in it already, so that helped a lot to cut down on the gnats that were caused by it being improperly stored.
Thank you for the recommendation. I’m starting some compost this summer for next year and I need a moderately priced alternative.
A few gnats never hurt
Day 1 of flower Should line up perfectly with current perpetual my perpetual. They will be going into 3 or 5 gallon pots soon to finish their lives. I’m hoping to get a clone from each of the females so I’m hoping for preflowers but I’ll still snip some lowers and hope for the best. They look way happier than before
Next seeds to be popped will be some more Goldy Bear (Golden Ticket x (DRagonsblood x Bear creek kush)). it was a huge hit among my family and close friends. Never have I experienced such a pleasant permanent smile bud. Very inspirational but too much can cause anxiety flairs for some. All the females were consistent so I’m hoping to find a couple more to eventually keep one as a clone. These were gifted to me by a fellow forum grower who now makes selections and sells seeds. He goes by Fast Slappy on IG. He uses All organic inputs , predator bugs, the whole nine. And he’s a great guy.
Also going to pop some Clusterfunk from Bodhi. I’m popping these as a favor to my brother who held some seeds for me while I wasn’t growing.
And lastly some TK x Iraqi F2 gifted to me by Nube. I look forward to the fun
