Seeds Here Now

I’m very worried about getting burnt by seddbanks online. I have been burnt recently and way back in the day when I popped into Marc emery’s shop and he sold me some un labeled seeds. Took them home and grew a field of hermies. But my meager online research led me to believe that seedsherenow would be safe to order from. 9nly downside I think was time frame.

Aren’t we all? Probably why this is such a popular thread. lol I also get the what do I choose anxiety when I look online. Growing strictly outside has it’s limitations. lol I’m in a legal state, so I feel like I should be able to order seeds on the internet with my credit card and get legit receipts and such… Some of these seedbanks whether legit or not just act shady with their forms of payment and what not too, just adding to my don’t want to get burned anxiety.

Yeah I agree. I am all legal as well and I am fairly certain I can write off my seeds. I think my dr said all things of organic nature can be written off. I am not sure I will quiz him some more next time I go in. Either way I think I have over 100 seeds here now and I have given some to members and also shipped some to friends who are not members.

Anyone know what is going on with SeedsHereNow? It seems they have started up a forum that only half works and the store page is no where to be found. What gives man?

They have a new site up for their store as a “soft-launch”, now.

Somewhat poor handling of business from their on-line/IT perspective. JBC did the same awhile ago.

Valued Customers please note: this is a soft launch opening of our interim site. We will be able to take credit card Monday evening. Meanwhile, please feel free to make an order, choosing ‘money order’. If you wish you may request in the note section that a CSR call you back Monday or Tuesday to convert your order to a credit card. Thank you for your business and your patience.

Not sure if I’d personally trust the security for CC transactions on a newly launched site. At least, not initially. Site security certificate appears valid.

SHN is having a closet sale that starts on 02/14, I’m guessing at midnight PST. Here’s a link to the closet.

Special Announcement!
Cleaning Out The Closet Sale:

Due to several non payments and our owner Jamez Bean being a seed hoarder, several rare and one off strains are being restocked at SeedsHereNow. These strains are limited, and first come first serve.

Starting Tomorrow (2/14/20) at SeedsHereNow.com, while supplies last!

nothing listed so must have all gone fast

You know man, I’m not sure it’s started yet. There wasn’t a time listed, just 02/14/2020. I said midnight PST because that’s seems like when most of their sales start. You’d think there’d be a message or something about it if it had ended.

This is the latest info from SHN on the closet sale.

Look throughout the site for previously out of stock items that make a return for all your throwback needs. Sought after restocks will start 2/14/2020 @4:20pm pacific and go throughout this weekend so check back often and happy hunting!

If you can’t find the packs you are looking for check out our IG page for additional rare auctions!

I’m not sure how you’d know what was out of stock but, I guess there’s a way. If you figure it out, please let me know. IG confuses me.

I stopped buying from SHN after they lost their CC option. They had a super selection, but you always had to watch their prices. I also found out that many of the seeds on sale were very old stock…some were ok, and some were not.

Lots of smaller good options out their that take CC,s Paypal, and GooglePay etc.
When you hook up with a good deal…the prices are very good…Black Friday sales were always the best imo.

Anybody do anything with seedsherenow?

Seedsherenow is legit too. Although twice they sent me the wrong order which pissed me off cause both times each order had packs that are out of stock now

The Cannarado seeds I’m running came from shn I’m in Canada an had to send cash in the mail…yeah I know, but here the postal service DOES NOT do money orders at all. Furthermore, the “no name in the receiving payment line” will not be allowed to the us from any legit moneygram, money order in Canada sooo. we get left with 1 forget about it, 2 Send U.s. dollars in mail or 3 Getting seller to give an addressee for the money order. #3 is the best option, but make sure seed co. will do that first. Cash letters sent thru Canada Post are insured for 100 bucks so risk was minimal, sent cash and shn sent the goods, and communicated with me very well when I was figuring out what to do. Guy named ‘bear’, I believe was the rep dealing with me, he was A1. Seedsherenow has some seeds that are pretty hard to come by up here, I’ll use them again, but would like to see CC option again.

I’ve ordered from there as well. They’re an authorized distributor for FastBuds and a couple others

I used to, but they stopped taking CC’s directly, and I stopped ordering. They always delivered what I ordered in a timely fashion; but many of their prices are way too high, and price checking should be encouraged.
Their sales have been pretty good…especially the Black Friday sales.

I just ordered my first seeds from seedsherenow and got them in 7 days! Professional packaging and has seals on the TH seeds I got.

The owner is in a couple of YT videos with different breeders if you want to check him out. I like his attitude and he only deals with top breeders if you look at who he carries. They are definitely on my wish list in the future. They tend to me on the premium price end.
It’s easy to send a registered letter. Costs $12. It’s very secure and very well tracked as it moves. I think it’s the same price going to Canada, but it did get stuck in Jamaica Queens for 2 weeks. It’s not priority mail, but each employee at the PO has to sign for it before they handle it, so it’s very secure.
Cash is not insurable. But life is best lived on the edge. :stuck_out_tongue:

SeedsHereNow has gone downhill and I would not order from them again. Just my personal experience from buying seeds online for about 20+ years. And maybe because:

  1. Ordered 20 seeds each of 2 types, got 10 of each wet. Only TWO seeds fully germinated, the rest emerged and stopped – a classic sign of old, unviable seeds. I’ve only germinated thousands of seeds the exact same way for about 40 frigging years so what do I know…

  2. Their selection just plain sucks. By and far most of their selections show as ‘out of stock’ and have been for a very long time. And since you cannot sort the selections to filter out the bogus items you are stuck in a disappointing click-click safari of wasted time. They do not carry many of the most popular breeders; even one’s in their own region (which is telling). Hell, check YouTube and you will find interviews of the owner sitting next to known quality breeders in his neck of the woods (i.e. Loud Seeds) – but even those breeders are not sold through SHN but are available on lots of other sites. Hmmm…

  3. High prices. Some of their selections are twice the price of the same seed from other seedbanks. Don’t know what justifies paying these people twice as much for old, unreliable seed.

  4. They are slow to ship. Took them about a week to process and ship my orders. Compared to other banks I have used over the past 15+ years they were the slowest yet. I placed an order with a Euro bank the same day as with SHN and received the order from Europe faster than this USA-based bank!

  5. They scam you if you use BitCoin payments. They will end up charging YOU for their transfer cost (i.e. “We didn’t get enough in Bitcoin payment…”) so you end up paying transfer fees twice – the only seed bank I ever had payment problems with in the past 5-6 years of using crypto.

  6. They lie. In April they claimed they were taking their site down “for spring cleaning” like inventory and such (huh?). What they were really doing was moving their web site to a VERY disreputable web hosting company known for specializing in hiding scammers, spammers and rip off artists. Didn’t believe it until I saw a post on seedfinder pointing to this and checked it all out. Ugh.

On the good side they answer their phone and seem to be nice people. But shipping unviable seed, lousy selection, high prices, poor selection of reliable breeders, slow shipping, crypto tomfoolery, and now hiding their site behind one of the #1 scam hosts in the country? Very bad mojo!

Would not do business with them again. Disappointing experience. They are not a ripoff scam site - but seem to be working hard towards that target.

Doesn’t James Bean own that one, too? I never used either, but used to dream on the JBC site.
