Seeds to Weeds : Live & Learn Organic Edition👨🏼‍🌾📝

Looks like a mite of some sort to me, but there are a lot of other folks around here that are more knowledgeable than I. One and done regardless of exactly what it is would be my plan too. I would bet @JoeCrowe has seen these guys under a microscope and may be able to more accurately identify it.

Looks like a mite to me. Only question is how did it get infested?

Looks like a typical soil mite rather than a spider mite, but definitely check for others and damage. Soil mites are harmless. You said running around. It moved quickly?

Probably me or my dog sadly

It was cruising along under the digital microscope but under human eye it wasnt moving rapidly.
Whatever it was it was on the move constantly though

I seen more :flushed: i had to look really hard for a few seconds but i definitely one or two more scattered about. I seen the one on the purple stem and the other on a leaf so they were easy to spot.

Haha i took so many pics with the digital microscope to make sure i got good ones then i lost the fucker and tossed it.

Turns out the pics were ass because the bug never stayed still.

This is all i have for now

Well… haha if you keep watching them, soil mites will generally not stray too far from the soil. They go out and around and back in. If they are on the stems or leaves, I’d assume the worst and spray over the next few days

Im deep in flower, can i spray or do i kill everything and log out haha

I’d still spray with just water or water/iso and be sure to shake them out well after. The spray and shake will disrupt them but unlikely to kill totally. It’s still hard to see if they have the two spotted look so I wouldn’t do any cutting until there’s some confirmation there. Even still in my opinion you can definitely spray with water up until harvest. And water/iso(or ethanol) in my opinion.

I’m screwed then lol. I can get the kitchen stinks out but not the other 2 rows.

I’ll probably go bug hunting and get more pics to confirm then chop everything and restart my life if i have mites.

Under the scope it seemed to have a white plumb waxy body, and a maroon/reddish head. That is what i noticed. I will try to get more pics for sure cause this is no bueno

Soil mite :arrow_heading_down:

Generally if you see a young spider mite you’ll be able to spot an adult somewhere. Spider mite eggs are clear/pearly spheres under the leaf.

Don’t lose hope and go chop crazy! I bet you can pull this through!

Predator mites till the harvest, then spray everything with micronized sulfur… i had those little fuckers before, 2 applications of sulfur should knock them out, also invest in more predatory mites

They are most likely broad mites… nasty fuckers… they made me get rid of some valuable cuts i had before i learned to deal with them.bummer… rip chocomama

After looking up broad mites its hard to determine. It doesnt really look like any of the other common pests but it does look like broad mites in a way.

Also my wolfcap showed that turn durned leaves on a few tops i thought it was from over fert but now im wondering if it was a broad mite symptom.

Yes all sorts of weird problems will arise… curled leafs are some of the signs… weak growth, slow, small buds, low terps are all symptoms ive dealt with…
